  1. Leave a few shucks on and microwave. Quick and easy. Add salt and butter.
  2. Wading the New River is dangerous. The flow is controlled by Claytor Lake Dam, and fluctuates daily. As a volunteer rescue squad member, I have been on several rescue and recovery calls in the river. Wading is fun, and is a great way to fish. In the New River, my advice is to wear a life jacket.
  3. Wading is dangerous. Wear a life jacket. Several places to go: McCoy, Bell Springs, Radford, and Giles Co.
  4. Got it fixed yesterday. The fitting on my tank was worn and out of round. Bought a new six gallon tank and connected with a barn fitting. I eliminated the disconnect there. Worked great yesterday evening. That’s supposed to be a barb fitting above!
  5. Yeah maybe. I’ll take a closer look when I replace the line in a few days. Thanks.
  6. No the boat is stored in a building all the time. After each trip I unhook the gas line from the motor and run it till it dies. Of course, the line still has gas in it but I always like to run the carburetor dry. I really don’t remember having this much trouble with the original line, but that was years ago.
  7. Yeah that’s what I did last time. That’s what I’m having trouble with now. Guess I’ll make a new one, but this one is only a couple years old. I’ve checked and all the clamps are tight. I just can’t figure out why they don’t last any longer.
  8. I keep having trouble with my gas line. I have a 30 hp Yahama 2 stroke. I use pure gas, no ethanol. I’ve replaced it several times over the year. Went out today and had problems again. When I squeezed the primer bulb, it didn’t fill up. Wouldn’t expand and let me squeeze again. I’ve bought Yamaha sets and I’ve made up my own from parts. Can’t seem to get one to last more than a year or so. Any ideas? Thanks.

  14. Forget it and wish him and your mom well. There can be enough problems in a family. Don’t make this one.
  15. Thin clear coat or super glue will seal your bait and protect it from water. Also provides a good smooth base for paint.
  16. Mitchell 300 spinning reel.
