  1. One thing I’ve never done is catch one on my last cast!!
  2. I’d rather catch one on the first cast than not catch any at all. Nope. I say it’s good luck when you catch one. No matter which cast.
  3. It’s probably a flaw but I can’t seem to run by a spot where I’ve caught them good without at least a cast or two, or maybe three.
  4. Poor little fellow. Y’all ought to be ashamed. He can’t help it. ?
  5. What are you using now to make thousands a week?
  6. I think you might do it with a jet. Gets pretty shallow below I81 bridge. I wouldn’t try with my prop.
  7. Yep I’ve come up empty like that a bunch of times, but we have musky.
  8. Sounds like you need to give yourself a little break and not expect so much from a fishing trip each and every time. Fish or no fish I enjoy my time out. At least you will learn about this pond for future trips. Thanks for your service.
  9. Take your rods to the hardware store and see what fits the best.
  10. Looks pretty good to me.
  11. Most of the other stick worms are “want to be” senkos. I’ll fish the real thing most of the time. Same with Rapalas.
  12. Sounds like a for sure skunk if you don’t go. I really don’t get this question. What’s so terrible about a skunk? It’s still fishing.
  13. “Muskie are ferocious and watching them follow it up to the boat and hammer it after the figure 8 is something to behold, but again the fight is sloppy and not as graceful and exciting as SMB.” Then I doubt you have caught many. I’ve had them tail walk all around. With this you are comparing apples and oranges. Let’s agree that fishing is fun, catching is great, and all fish try their best to get loose.
  14. I’d keep chunking the fluke if it’s working.
  15. Smallmouth fight hard period, calm water or current. They don’t quit.
  16. Put them in a minnow bucket and put them back in the creek. Keep a couple of days that way.
  17. Good times with my daughter and grandchildren on SML.
  18. Fall morning on the New River
  19. 1967 Mustang.
  20. Fished a few hours this morning with a friend and his 91 year old dad. Anytime you can share a boat with a 91 year old it is special. We had a good time but the fish were few. We hardly noticed!!
  21. That’s great. Take him fishing every chance you get.
  22. Now that is just showing off?!! Nice!!
  23. Maybe I’m missing something but what about talking to the guy rather than about him. Ask him how you can fish it without interfering with him. Tell him ahead of time you intend to fish behind him. Is he a jerk or is he a reasonable guy? He might be the only guy fishing the place in a tournament but I’m sure he is not the only one to ever fish it.
