Question Chris. Is it accurate that in order to have a line class record you must have your line bench tested? So 4# braid in actuality would probably break at a much higher rating than 4#. I know your not in this for any records but you stick some HAWGS! on light line. Nice sturgeon once again.

Beaver's are vegetarians, so if you think they are the culprit to a poor fish population that is false. Really besides downing trees they are not that big of a problem. If you insist on having them removed DO NOT take any actions to do so yourself. You could be breaking the law by doing so. Contact VDGIF and ask about beaver relocation.

So while the forum was down and I impatiently waited for it to be revamped. I was able to wet a line and break in my new Swimbait combo(Diawa Luna 300, Lamiglas XC807. I caught a stout fish on a Mattlures baby bass Smallmouth color at a local pond on my first outing with it. This is her laying next to my LONG XC807 rod handle,Enjoy

Throw the dropshot in that bed! You can make the bait move constantly without ever moving it out of the bed. (this really seems to PO the fish). Also try a white chatterbait with a LF Live Magic shad as a trailer. Let it fall in the bed and then lift it back up like fishing a jig to get that blade moving. They will often times unload on that thing. Good luck, and be ready to cast at a hawg for hours on end without ever getting her to bite. >
