Nothing super new, alot of guys do this to their reels. Helps but IMO wouldn't do this to a reel that is just out of the box.

As much as I love 1911s, the Sig P220 is arguably one of the best .45 pistols ever developed. I have three and would trust my life to them. If the SHTF, I'd rather have a P220 in my hand than a 1911. I love the decocker, the trigger, the overall ergonomics. I'm just better with a P220 than a 1911. The P220 Stainless Elite in the photo is very nice. I will say it is significantly heavier then the standard P220 (pictured with the light). And it doesn't conceal as well. That upswept beavertail pokes me when carrying in a high-ride holster. I much prefer carrying my alloy framed P220s. Thanks for the input! And although it may be a little harder to conceal, I like a gun with a little bit of attitude.

Silver max was my first baitcast reel worked okay. TBH I'd just purchase a 100+ bait caster, as I'm sure you will want one anyway further down the road.

Scale idea is fine, but I know that scales often times are up to .5# off.

I Sent my reel to Shimano once, and they deff. sent back the same reel! Now I bring them to a local guy Wayne Knabe.

Flouro gets the improved Clinch as it has given me no trouble. Palomar on everything else.

Swivel on a Carolina rig and Ball bearing snap swivel on this guy. (kills bass on summer mornings)
