Can't go wrong with Shimano. I'd go w/ a Citica and a Crucial.

It depends on the size of the fish. If it's 2+ lbs, I use the net. I want to land the fish and reduce the chance of breaking my rod.

6' rods feel weird to me. The shortest I'll go is 6'6 but I prefer 6'8 or 7'.

I'm a righty but I use left handed baitcasters. None of that switching hand business.
