  1. Not worth the money, but it will pair up nicely with the NRX. You've got a $500 rod might as well put a great reel on it and enjoy fishing it
  2. Are you sure it's a leak in the hull? I had a 2004 tracker and the live well pump housing cracked which filled the boat with water. After replacing that the boat was dry
  3. I had the 822 shakeyhead roD, and wasn't thrilled with it. It wax great for light shakeyhead but felt overloaded with anything on the high end of the weight range. From my research I think the 852s is the NRX spinning rod to own.
  4. For 3k, I'd look for a jon boat with a casting deck and tiller motor. Something like a 1648. You'll have a lot more room than a similar sized bass tracker in that budget.
  5. Gander mountain runs a sale a few times a year where they have a $50 rebate on the ltb rods and then a $50 off $250 coupon, so you can get a ltb for $150.
  6. Even though you don't change hands, don't you have to reposition the rod in your hands after you cast. I personally don't see that as advantage, as your likely moving the rod in order to change from a casting grip to a reeling grip.
  7. I'd rather pay someone to fix my boat and spend my time fishing.
  8. I had an old feather craft I was looking at a similar build using wood, but sold it because I was worried the boat would be too heavy.
  9. I'd personally get a shimano stradic. Either fj or ci4+
  10. I think it's the 3rd or 4th time he's started this thread. Not sure what new answer your looking for
  11. I personally prefer the loomis mbr843 I've mostly used it for throwing spinner baits, but it's been an awesome rod so far.
  12. I own both the avid 7mf and the loomis e6x mbr843. Both are great rods and should match up nicely with the chronarch. It's really going to come down to your personal preference deciding which to buy. Unless you need to purchase right now I'd wait for one of them to go on sale and then purchase. Gander mountain regularly has the avid on sale for $125 and cabelas keeps marking down the E6X in store. They are currently $119.
  13. I have a stradic 2500fj. I don't know the balance point, but it's very comfortable setup to fish.
  14. I don't understand all of the suggestions to spool braid so tight. After the first long cast you've lost all of that tension. I spool braid like any other line.
  15. the ltb 6'8" mxf is my favorite spinning rod. Its the only spinning rod I typically carry with me.
  16. I'm the opposite. Other than a fluke, I only go to plastics after I've gone through my full box of hard baits, or to target a specific spot. Normally I'm throwing something moving majority of the time.
  17. just avoid for the for profit universities. Online courses through public schools are good and treated the same as attending in person. The for profit schools tend to be looked down on. I took a number of courses in school that were available both online and in person. It was nice if I had to miss class to be able to watch the lecture later.
  18. College was the best 9 years of my life. I'd probably still be a full time student if my wife would let me.
  19. Sounds like you aren't reeling in enough slack.
  20. I'd try to find a calcutta 50.
  21. SC is pretty active in controlling grass in our lakes with carp.
