Metal Spoons for Bass
I caught a few last year but everytime I was like "yeah! Great Fish", it was a toothy critter named Esox. Blue \ silver hammer nickle worked well... Same pattern as desperation rattle trap.

Which knot?
Berkley Braid knot is tough for sure. I had better luck with this one than any other "super knot". I was a palomar fan, but lately for some reason my knots were coming through the hook eye gap, so I switched to the bulker braid knot with good results. Palomar is awesome but I also had issues. I started using this when I read that it works on every line type. Ugly knot but great results.

Lews speed spool?
LOL - I read that one but its for the more expensive model hence my reference to the Pro. A $90 baitcaster can be a dicey option if not chosen carefully.

Favorite bass show?
Hook and Look is pretty cool. But if it involves fishing I'll watch it.

Which knot?
Berkley Braid Knot works well with any line. Its not pretty but is very strong.

First Album you bought?
Ozzy - Blizzard of Oz My cousin gave me Back in Black. I still have it.

Lews speed spool?
The new Lews Speed pro got decent reviews but I can't find feedback for this one. Used Shimano Citica 200 E would be a good choice, imo or BPS PQ if you like the Lews reel shape is also a solid choice.

I never expected Keith to be brought up here, I don't think his first album is even out yet - - are you a member at SevenString.org? I dig a lot of his stuff.....Pillars of Creation is one of the best riffs I've heard in a LONG time. It just kicks a**. I rarely post on SevenString anymore but its a great forum. I have the Schecter Loomis 7 String and really dig his playing. Heart of the Sea Nymph is a really cool tune.

Your Suggestion for a Spinning Rod Under $50
BPS isn't a bad choice; even another Lightning. I used a *GASP* Ugly Stick Lite for my backup for the longest time. Was a good choice for my kids or friends who were hard on gear as well.

Favorite Knot for Braid to Fluro?
improved clinch with braid (8-10 wraps, double or triple through the eye) Palomar Knot with Fluoro. San Diego Jam is better but not as easy to tie. I use Uni to Uni as well.

Whats a Fishing License cost where you live?

Bass getting familiar with my lures?
hmmm... Maybe not fishing during active feeding? Or perhaps use a less visible line? If you can find where the fish are holding you can trigger a reaction strike by rippinng through vegetation or bumping off something?

Smaller shallow running swimbait
Holy cow! RW actually recommend the Swimming Senko.... Super Fluke or Mag Super Fluke would work here I think.

Versatility - what makes one versatile?
Great points. A solid understanding of what your good at and what your not. From there its about striving for continous improvement and learning how to adapt your style for the given scenario.

To Chatter or not to chatter?
I can't wait!! Toothy critters will like these as well. I also got some poison tails and swim jigs.

Light braided line on baitcasters?
^^^ That is solid advice! Light braid on baitcasting can be an issue. Especially with cheaper light.

To Chatter or not to chatter?
I did contact Karl and he was very helpful. I will be doing some chattering as soon the lures stop bouncing off the water.

Flat vs. Gloss Finish on Crankbaits
This. Its caught me a few times as well.

Best 8lb test for shaky head fishing on baitcaster???
Yo-Zuri Ultrasoft if you can find it before the weekend. Otherwise 100% Flouro or AbrasX is normally available everywhere.

7:1 Why?
Any time when you need to take up the slack quickly its pretty handy. I use it for all of weightless soft plastics, texas rigs and jigs. Burning a trap or a spinner also takes up less energy. Also more IPT, usually means more casts per trip. These are both nice to haves not essentials.

Abu Garcia REVO Premier owners
Thanks gents! Not totally sold yet but working up to it.

Abu Garcia REVO Premier owners
Can someone offer some honest feedback on the 2010 model for me? I am looking for a new lefty baitcaster. Strongly considering another Shimano for my new setup. I have a Shimano Curado (love the reel, hate the color) and a Revo Winch (love the smooth feel and the drag) currently. Thanks for your time!
