  1. For bass I like the 78 and 100... For Northerns, the 128 is AWESOME.

Nice to see Martens not collapse... KVD edges it out again or did someone catch him? I can't wait to find out. Thank you Interwebz.
  3. This has happened to me as well. Thankfully it was July and the water was warm. Amen to dumb things in the pursuit of fish.
  4. It was awesome! G-Man showed some real class and depth of character.
  5. nice fish! My pointer rod is ready to rock & roll!
  6. lol yes sir... 22 stitches from a training accident.

Should be a photo finish! Remitz & Chapman are putting the pressure big time. and just to add to the madness: "Aaron just told us he suspects there is an "anti-fish device" in his boat" ^^ LOL really?
  8. Anyone else think this is a stiff test for Davis? Antonio Rogerio Nogueira could be a serious problem.
  9. Excellent point. I use tubes mostly around rock piles but this year I want to expand its use. The tip from IKE using a 3/16th casting weight when T-rigging is pretty cool as well. I'll try that too.

lol from espn live blog: "VanDam has a jar of nails and he's pounding them into the coffins of every other angler on the Delta."
  11. As a frequent heartburn suffer... A stick of gum generates all the spit you need. You don't know where that penny has been...

KVD is insane... 22 pounds? Awesome!
  14. Spincasters have limited line options. I would use Trilene XT or Suffix Elite with a tieable steel wire leader if pike fishing. 2 spinning reels really depends on what you are using them for... general purpose - Trilene XT or Suffix Elite mono or Stren drop shot - 8# Yo-Zuri ultrasoft or Seagaur InvisX need higher strength or sensitivity I would use braid and an appropriate leader. I like Daiwa Samurai but Power pro, Spiderline, Fireline would all work. Braid is low memory and can cast a mile...
  15. My go to braid is Daiwa Samurai... I also have reels with fireline and suffix performance. Fireline was my go to until I discovered Samurai. I still use it or Performance for fishing salad.
  16. Even if they made lefties I wouldn't use one...
  17. LOL! ;D Nice response.
  18. Good choice. Olive with white belly Perch White Somthing crazy bright like firetiger I like LC Pointers better but have 10-12 of these as well.
  19. Good suggestions here. Lew's Tournament Pro Speed is a good option as well. The Curado 50E is a great reel for smaller baits but blue \ green is not a great color scheme. Out of what's been listed the Advantage is great but has a fairly weak drag.
  20. I'll have to look at what's its called but rust resistant container from SEARS is awesome for terminal tackle. Tough, well make and decent storage capacity
  21. ^^^ This worked the best for me.
  22. That's a thing of beauty compared to the Citrus Sticks rods... http://citrusstick.com/ The ugliest rods I've ever laid eyes on, by far. Super ugly... The website is also very 3rd grade mint as well.
  23. http://www.chefschoice.com/page2a_m130.html M130 gets the best reviews.
  24. LOL - Yeah, I was a nub. The only knots I used were improved clinch, palomar and uni. Although now that I have more experience it would be less of a problem. I use the Berkley Braid Knot for most applications especially light braid.
  25. Interesting points guys. The berkley braid knot lacks the refinement of say a palomar so I call it ugly. It has two tag ends and is bulkier than other knots. I started using this after improved clinch and palomar failed me. Practice makes perfect.
