  1. What's everyone's take on chatterbaits? I have (2) and used them a bit last year but it never really produced for me. What colors do you like? What conditions work best? Or do you use the standard skirt and trailer or a shad type trailer? Thanks!!
  2. Sexy Shad Olive green with a white belly is money too.
  3. HAHAHA Lamooooooooooooooile? LOL yes sir... was quite ripe.
  4. Last year I snagged a large dead crow... It was weird and quite disgusting.
  5. That was just an estimate based on checking around a few places. Its a sick reel and won the TT high speed challenge so who knows.
  6. I will assume its a righty. I would think $225 - $275 would be ball park? They have a loyal following it should retain its value well. A Daiwa fan is sure to comment and give a better anwser.
  7. The coach only had 9 players... Its not like he had 4 strings to control the score a bit better. Playing better teams makes you better... LOL @ the fragile ego comment in the article. Please grow some stones. Just my honest opinion.
  8. Large Pike = Awesome Small Pike = Annoying Nothing like a 40" Pike.
  9. The rod I have is a Mattlures signature series medium-heavy swimbait rod, rated for 10-20 lb line, 1-4 oz lures. That should be great.
  10. -20F here last night....
  11. I have a Winch and it would be great for baits that size. Its not great for smaller cranks but would throw those a country mile especially if paired with the right rod.
  12. Froggin' My hooking percentage sucks. Drop shottin would be a close second.
  13. Yep, that is what I am looking for! Thanks! Army Navy Store is your friend. Waterproof spray is a wise choice as well.
  14. Spooky fish or super tough bite = Silent or finesse for me. Otherwise its noise, vibration and flash.
  15. Look for a deal in the flea market. You can probably get a steal on a higher end reel. Pflueger President or Supreme Magnesium maybe a good choice. I have an older President and a newer Arbor. Both have performed great for the money. I think the knock on Pflueger is the maintenance but I've never had issues.
  16. White flukes and netbait paca chunks... Seems like whenever I buy a package; they are gone quick.
  17. ^^^^^ Welll if winter boredom \ bait monkey was in full effect..... It is now. Nice equipment!
  18. I use a wallet as well. Works better as I use a backpack as my main tacklebox.
  19. X3 Indeed. Handy when I spend one day dropshotting and another trout fishing.
  20. Still for sale on BPS and listed on their site.
  21. Direct from Shimano! Tight Lines!!!! From the Expert. Always wondered which was which.
  22. I find most of my saving involves staying on the water and away from my local tackle depot. But still I need to support local business so I only buy one instead of the all available stock. I tend to buy my plastics in bulk as well. Going in with a few freinds and getting a ton of stuff is a great way to lower the price point.
  23. The TT review on Powell was pretty good. The price point is fairly attractive as well. The Loomis CBR845C is looking like an option as well.
  24. Which cranking rod would best match my Revo Winch? It tends to shine with heavier cranks... I thought I was going to use a St. Croix Big Cranker (still might) but will most likely use that rod to trade up to a Legend Extreme for jig & plastics type applications... Thoughts? Rise of the bait & tackle monkey to fight cabin fever.
