  1. Good, if you like the way he played, as I did...Bad if you drank like him...LMAO...old time hockey eay? Man, what a time growing up in those days. I was fortunate enough to meet Pie, Brad Park, Hodge, Cheesy, Chief and more that aren't coming to mind right now. Man, you're bringing me back to a really good place in my life...LOL I remember being involved in a hockey program that Gordie Howe ran across the country and he came to our practice one night. Biggest thrill of my life was not only being on the same ice as him, but taking a pass from him in a hockey drill. I will never forget that night! What a gentleman he was.
  2. I think the only one that stands out for me, and I know why the did it, was Bobby Orr, but then again, I was my son's age (9) when they did that. Man, was I heart broken. Considering as a kid, I got to see him in person and I was a huge hockey nut at the time.
  3. I wasn't a big fan of Nomar after the '02 season I think it was, so it really didn't break my heart to see him go.
  4. I agree Derrick in '04 they had a lot of left overs, the team was also just purchased not long before that, so there should have been leftovers. I'm sorry, not a big Duquette fan.
  5. We got a Beagle/Shepherd mix, Abby, last June. She's a rescue dog from Tennessee who has adjusted in our household very well. I'll post pics tomorrow afternoon.
  6. CC has certainly declined as most power pitchers do at his age. Granted, he's not the beast he was in Cleveland, but I think with the weight loss, he will be a much better pitcher than he showed last year, if not the last couple of years. Yeah, not a huge fan either. I actually like Buck Showalter as a skipper. I think he's one of the best skipper in the game. Certainly gets the most out of his players, that's for sure. Kind of Joe Maddenesque.
  7. Clemens became a pin cushion because of Duquette and supposedly that started in NY, but we'll never know. There were some key guys left over, I will agree with you, I wouldn't say he "set up" the '04 and '07 teams, but there were some key guys, yes.
  8. IDK, Yanks got some thump in the line-up now, and they say CC is in the best shape of his career. I agree the Yanks infield is suspect, but I believe Tex will have a comeback year, who knows what Jeter is going to give you. The starting rotation isn't all that bad, so you have to play to get into their bullpen. A lot of 10-8 games in NY, just depends on who is on the 10 run side...LOL As far as the O's GM signing and backing out of a deal? Just remember, he was the same guy who thought Roger Clemens was washed up in Boston, you can have him...LOL I actually think the O's will be very competitive as will the Rays, I really can't say much for the Jays, but they could sneak up on you. Should be a fun season to say the least.
  9. Maybe you can just tell him that "A bird in the hand is worth two in the...."....well you know.
  10. Man, the Yankees got Tanaka yesterday, did they ever stack up this off-season!? Robinson who?
  11. We can ice fish on the Charles now ... ...Man, it's cold!
  12. Superbowl. It only comes once a year and usually it's an event to watch with friends and family.
  13. Sounds good... plan on the day away from the family, it's down the Cape.
  14. You know I'm there! BTW, I don't have the GPS app on my phone, so I'll never be able to locate that pond...
  15. You have to admit A-Jay, that you had to be real surprised with the Pats this year considering all the injuries they had to key peeps, not to mention the fact that their top receiver was a quarterback at Kent Freaking State!...LOL
  16. Man, I didn't think this thread had legs when RNF first posted it...too funny Just one question Raider, aren't you like 3X the size of the Chinese cook with a ladle? I'm trying to picture this guy chasing you out of the joint...LMAO!
  17. I really like the fact that the opposing team's quarterback didn't puke during this game...
  18. LOL...Unfortunately Tom, I see the injuries to key peeps and the fact that beating a team twice is difficult in th NFL as being a bit too much for the Pats in this game...I think you get your wish today my friend!
  19. Man, did you expect such a close game so far? I know I didn't. And tomustang, SHUT UP!!!!...LMAO...J/K!...
  20. I think this is the third leg of the Raider Nation Reality Trilogy...For some reason, I'm not surprised by this...LMAO...Only you Raider!
  21. I would rather have a simple flip phone if it weren't for my job (construction super) where I need a smart phone to receive e-mails which, at times, contain information pertaining to the the contract drawings or contracts. I'm usually in a renovation situation where setting up a computer just isn't feasible in a dusty envrionment and I don't use the company issued smart phone for personal use. Other than that, you can keep it.
