More than likely they're crying about the parking situation more than anything. I've been working in Boston for the past couple of months and it really is a challenge to park in there. Thankfully I only have to go in 1 more time to apply for an occupancy permit and then I'm out for a while.

We wound up having about 14" - 16" and those estimates are from the news outlets, I can't really tell with all the snow drifting, but I'd say 14" is pretty accurate, how about you?

Man, that must have been quite an experience, plumworm...I live in New England and experience some cold weather, but I really don't think it's as bad as what you folks experience. I'm also finding that I have less tolerance for the cold as I get older. I don't know tho, I've watched re-runs of that game and I don't think I could have stayed and watched it, much less play in it. Good luck!

I agree with you Rhino, not at all what I expected, but I'm sure the folks from Essex County would somewhat, disagree with you. They got the worst of it. The cold temps are getting to me though...

I'm trying to perfect my father's recipe. He doesn't write down his ingredients, just adds a little here and there until it tastes good...LOL...One of these days I'll get on the same stove with him to make some. Problem is, we'll have a couple of drinks while doing it which may be a problem when I sit down to write the recipe... I'll get it to ya Nitro, one of these days!

That's what I mean Nitro, the Browns were awful in the standings, but I watched them play a few games this year and thought that they were a lot better than their record showed. You're an avid Skins fan, did the players stop playing for Shanahan? I thought that they brought RG3 back way too soon from surgery, but from what I heard and read, that was the owner who wanted him in there and not the coach. Sounded to me like the owner just cared about putting @$$e$ in the seats and didn't care about the well being of the player. As a matter of fact, at the beginning of the season, I think you and I had a conversation about RG3 not being 100% this year?

I agree with you, especially on the Browns firing: Hard to believe they didn't give Chudzinski a chance. I thought the players really played hard for him. I can't really comment on Shanahan and Frazier, I really didn't see those teams play. As far as Kubiak, his team kind of fell apart at the end of last season and this year they just never got it together, so the writing was on the wall.

Sounds like it would be easier to order online. Ever think about cutting the top of the shoe out and let you toes hang over?...J/K

After sitting dormant for at least 10 years, I broke the electric FryDaddy out of the closet on Christmas day and made blueberry fritters with a sweet cream cheese glaze. Well the kids must have really enjoyed them and asked for them again this morning.

I guess the italians don't have animals large enough to make shoes for a sasquatch... Man, I just put my size 7.5 feet together, heel to toe, and can't imagine having feet that large...

They both have a place in my bag of tricks and both get used and produce equally well. Seams like every time I think I should be using one I end up using the other to get the bites, but, hey, that's fishing! As far as trailers, I pretty much use grubs, although I like a zonker strip on my spinnerbaits as well and an Indiana blade on my swim jig.

Doug, thank you for posting again and sharing, it's really nice to hear from you catching up on how things are. My family and I were in a similar sitation with my sister's brush with cancer last year. We had Thanksgiving dinner this year at her house and I found myself reflecting on how remarkable she looked this year and how awful I felt last year knowing what she was going through. I don't see her often during the year and I do not often tell the people I love how I feel about them, but I do go out of my way to make sure my sister knows how I feel about her every single time I see her. Be strong and stay positive, I hope you all have a remarkable and joyous 2014! John

Wow, where to start. I really like the Strikeback Spinnerbait, Yum tubes, Siebert's unleaded jigs, Rage Tail products and Megastrike scents. I'm sure there is more, but those come to mind at the moment. The things I didn't buy were the friendships I've made. I've had the privilege of being invited to fish with Rhino, tate and grampa on multiple occasions and shared a lot of laughs and memories. I'm also blessed to have a good friend on here whom I've never met or fished with, but we text each other a lot and have shared more laughs than any person I've ever been around with. Welcome back my friend...you Freak!..LMAO
