I'm going crazy
Yep, 6 more inches for us folks south of Boston and low teen temps for the weekend. Snow banks are so high at the end of my driveway, my 6 yr old son can climb to the top of it and reach the 1st rung on the telephone pole.

Ever have a lure that just "quit working"??
I have an old Spit-n-Image that made it's way down to the bottom of my tackle box that I ended up using this past summer. I remember the lure used to catch a lot of fish, but for some reason would walk a lick when I tried it. What I noticed tho, was that the bait was sitting on the water flat with the tail barely in the water and not in the water at like 45+ degrees like it used to. What I found was that the ballast wasn't making it's way to the back of the lure.

We lost a true friend
I'm speechless, I really enjoyed reading his posts. He will be missed for sure. RIP.

Epoxy Rod Handle
I would think that the balance of the rod would be affected by the reel your installing on it as well as location on the blank it's installed on.

Adding split rings
All the ones you mentioned except dog walkers. For some reason my dog walkers work better for me tied direct to the lure.

Something Different?
They are on separate interlocking clevis'. J Francho, you're good. I was looking for a mellower sound. I saw one of Larry Dahlberg's episodes using one of those cowgirl inlines, thought I would try it out in this configuration. Jig Man, GMAN, it will look similar to this:

Indiana Fishing Expo
whittler, I just happen to catch this thread and viewed the link you posted and commented on by OHIO. I'm sure you know that I view the tacklemaking forum frequently and admire your work as well as all who post in there. I think it's great that your are able to showcase your wormanship in an expo. Again, I wish you the best of luck!

Best Bang for the buck Lures
I agree with the spook post(s). The one I have has caught many fish and was one of my first lures I purchased back when I started fishing. They are still pretty inexpensive and are proven fish catchers for decades.

Project Pretty Stick
Looks great BASSclary! I find the spine on my rods and build on it or opposite it depending on the rod I'm building (spinning, casting, fly), only because it's the way I was taught. This topic would probably result in a split if a poll was takened.
