Denali Jadewood J2 or Dobyns Fury?
I've fished both and the Fury is a nicer feeling rod as it's not as tip heavy. A 733, 734 would be a good chatterbait rod.

Sub 2 oz "swimbait" rod question
Dobyns Fury 735 will work and can double as a frog, Carolina Rig, and jig rod.

Smaller flipping hooks for compact punching
VMC's hooks run small. I think they make them down to a size 2. I like them.

Who has been a Marshall in a FLW/BASS event?
I'm set up to be a final day Marshall for the FLW event on Champlain in 2 weeks. Anyone here been a Marshall and have some stories to tell?

Best deep water swimbaits???
If you are around the bottom in that 25-30' then a Carolina Rigged Keitech-type bait or top hook line through like an Osprey or Optimum works best for me. 3/4-1oz on 20lb Fuoro and a long mono leader. That's the easiest and most effective way of fishing them at depth. I've tried Hudd rof 16, and fast sink Spros, they are really hard to keep deep. Suspended at those depths, swimbait on a spin-head type head.

Double Fluke - To Bead Or Not To Bead
Which swivel were you using? I've used spro's a lot for a long time and trust they are refined enough to not fry the line. Never ran into a fraying issue with the double fluke... Then again I've never used one long enough before a Pike ate it.

Looking for a dedicated Swimbait Rod
http://www.cabelas.com/product/fishing/fishing-rods/casting-rods|/pc/104793480/c/104764680/sc/104823180/cabela-s-tourney-trail-reg-muskie-casting-rod/1925832.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fcasting-rods%2F_%2FN-1102351%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104823180 I like mine just as much as any other swimbait rod I've had. 8ft heavy would work.

glidebait leader
I'd say go bigger with your mono. Or maybe you got a bad batch. Or you Alberto knot wasn't wet enough and the heat/friction weakened the area. I pull that knot tight while it's against my tongue.

glidebait leader
Is the Mono breaking below the knot or the Braid above it?

Breaking down lake Champlain
The whole lake is spawning now. Got 40 bigheads off beds this past Saturday. 3 weeks out and you are looking at post spawn... smallies by in large will not have moved out to their usual deep spots. Mainebass summed up the largemouths pretty well. The lake, especially down south will be a freaking zoo for the next month. Baits: 4.8" Keitechs Bone Super spooks Black/Blue chatterbaits Frogs Jigs Drop shot 3" swing impacts Senkos Do not underestimate throwing a Carolina Rig with a Green Pumpkin Magic speedcraw if you got a guy drop shotting. Seriously. Structure: Literally everything... Clay stained southern Champlain is a mix of soft and hard bottom with a lot of weeds. Look for coontail. Mid Lake is huge and deep, real hit or miss smallies. Northern lake/inland sea , deeper and much clearer than the south but also a mix of gnarly rock and sand.

I have that rod. Great choice, also tosses small swimbaits very well.

Wanting to buy a rod for Carolina rig/Frog what should I buy?
MH Diesel is way too soft for frogs, the H is too stiff for rigs. Had both.

Best Carolina Rig Bait For Numbers?
Zoom Ultra Vibe Speedcraw on a 3/0 offset worm hook. It's like a bowl of m&M's on your coffee table, even if you are not hungry you'll grab one. Same with bass and little craws. If the bait allows, try to use a regular offset worm hook as opposed to an EWG. Bass sometimes smash the bait into the bottom, the deep offset of an EWG will roll the bait left or right when a Bass tries to pin it down. Think of a sailboat on it's keel up on land and a giant flying air breathing bass smashes down on it. It will fall to one side and the hook point can rotate away from the fish. Just give it a try.. Also try: Flukes Small swimbaits (3" or so) Centipedes Smoking Roosters.

Thoughts on Ranger 375v
I'm 6'5" too. If the boat has a hot foot make sure you can actually use it as the consoles are low.
