New, what is your Power Bar of choice?

So i have a Carbonlite reel, (A fancy PQ) and It only comes in the gear ratio 6.4. I want it to be 7.1, which the PQ comes in. They are basically the same reel so are the gears interchangeable? If they are, how do you swap gears?(Newb question lol)

I wonder if we could just exchange the PQ gears?

Im pretty sure CL's only come in RH. Edit: Basspro.com confirms they only come in RH. No they don't, it's LH. I'm pretty sure by now I know the difference between left/right, lol. The guys at BPS couldn't believe it was a LH model as well, but it is. Oh thanks for correcting me, I love my carbonlite reel, but I wish they would come out with a 7:1:1 gear, by chance did you figure out if they expanded the gear selection also?

Your 25-30 yards is pretty good considering thats ~90 ft. If your casting significantly short loosen your spool tension until when you press down the thumb bar your lure drops slowly. Then since you said your brakes are too high above six leave your brakes at about 5. The rest is about educating your thumb And a reason your lure may be dive bombing to the right is because the release times from spinning reels to casting are totally different.

Did you by chance turn any of the brakes on? Because drag has nothing to do with casting.

That's the mentality that makes me not even consider them when buying a reel. How does my stupid comment draw you away from SHIMANO? I mean after all, it was MY comment so it has to be wrong right? ;D

When my dad had to do a touch up to his car, we just used an anti-corrosive primer and then mixed some hobby (model car) paint to match the color and applied by an airbrush. Finally a hobby paint clear coat. Im not sure if a car body applies to a carbon steel golf club though. :-/
