  1. Yeah, I go there a lot and always ride it. On the big drop my eye sight gets very blurry and once in a while i'll back out. I Also rode it in the rain...... lets just say it hurt like hell
  2. What reel are you going to mate it with if you dont mind me asking?
  3. No, you cant reel a barrel swivel through your rod guides. And if you do use one your going to have to cast with atleast 2 feet of line out, which is unpractical and will helicopter which is not good.
  4. Lamiglas Excel --> http://www.***.com/Lamiglas_Excel_Bass_Series_Spinning_Rods/descpage-LEBSRS.html and An ABU Cardinal 500 ALBi --> http://www.***.com/Abu_Garcia_Cardinal_500_ALBi_Spinning_Reels/descpage-AGC5I.html Should end up right about $140 and at Tackle Warehouse shipping is free
  5. I used the Uni-uni once, but will never again. Because the knot is so big and bulky it gets caught in your guides, causing backlashes from hell, and lost lures flying to sea.
  6. The offense did okay IMO minus the 3 interception. A bunch of yardage and put up points! But my biggest problem right now is how the coverage in the secondary was BLOWN! simply BLOWN! They gave up way to many big plays through the air. If our D held up, we'd ove won that game.
  7. Check out the Lamiglas Excel. Its cork, but it has a split grip and no foregrip. If you can get over that, its one hell of a rod.
  8. Use this knot ---> http://www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articles/article_arby_albertos_knot.shtml Remember the braid is the green line in the diagram. And as for how much, you generally want around the length of the rod in mono.
  9. Have you tried braid with a mono/fluoro leader?
  10. IMO a Falcon Bucoo for about $100 is the way to go. Also, keep an eye out on the flea market here, some great deals pop up
  11. You needed to adjust your presentation to the bass. For instance change color, change speed, just fine tune on what your doing until they bite it like a champ.
  12. I like that idea Also, maybe add a plastics/t-rig setup
  13. Man somebody is loaded with cash Not a fan myself also... but D**M!
  14. Perhaps the winch needs a little servicing?? :-?
  15. I'm going to shank the cowboys with a rusty cantelope spoon if they dont get their act together...
  16. I would love to but my xbox is out of service until I can get a new power brick :-[
  17. Why? Personally, I hate fore-grips in front of the reel seat. I also have heard about Dobyns excellent customer service, (Not saying that Loomis doesnt have great customer sservice). But another factor for me is I think the Dobyns look cooler. However looks may not mean alot to you. It just seems like the Dobyns would be better for me. IMO when comparing the two rods, performance is about equal, but the little things like cork size and foregrips and looks, will cause more of a decision.
  18. Congrats, now stop campimg like a n00b ;D
  19. Every color known to Bass Fisherman, and some bait monkeys... ;D
  20. Hmmmm.... if only I had the money.. :-[ I would love to get one !
  21. Whats your main line? I assume braid correct?
  22. Its just the nature of the beast. If you want when reeling in you can grasp the line between your fingers but that just is not comfortable or productive. If you want use a heavier weight.
  23. Well your talking to one. Im a 3 time POY Angler and 5 time Postmaster Classic winner 8-)
  24. The only time I ever broke a rod was becasue I slipped on a rock in the Rappahanock river. I've never actually fished those rods, but I would IMO go with the Dobyns.
  25. Haha funny thing about that... Back in July I told my dad to take that weekend off for the expo. There is like 3 expos that month and I will most likely be at all of them I wonder if they'll let me hold seminars... : 8-)
