  1. Oh okay, gotcha Thats still a lot of fish!!!
  2. That makes no sense. How can you cook it too fast and too long?? I think you may have cooked it a little longer than normal. Possibly your heat is too high, causing it to look done, but its really not on the inside, so when you leave it on longer it loses its juices, and becomes rubbery/chewy
  3. If I fish in the rain, I take my shoes and socks off, no joke. Feet are designed the way they are for a reason, to grip what's below them, not just because they look cool. But when in snow when even being barefoot and is slippery, I have a pair of my dad's old redwings that I drilled some very small studs into. Never even slipped on wet metal. Mainly though because of the sheer cold. Other wise, i'd be bare foot 8-)
  4. welcome
  5. Welcome! Im sure you'll learn alot here,, and get annoyed by me ;D
  6. Lol im going to tell my dad that ;D
  7. I dont like Burke Lake. I've only caught one bass in 25+ times going there, and that fish came on a boat. And you can almost forget shore fishing that place is packed!!! Although when we were heading back to the car me and my grandpa saw a whole lotta bluegill shadows so we tried our hand with worms and bobbers, but no luck
  8. For t-rigs I prefer Ribbon tail/ U-tail worms. YUM and ZOOM have been producing well for me in almost any color.
  9. Jigs. This is my first year fishing for real, and I discovered jigs around june-ish. They are now one of my confidence baits
  10. Why does slick-line backlash more?
  11. They didn't ask for the receipt because I just bought it and didnt even take the orange paid sticker off of it. And to be Honest, I didn't mention it because I was already walking away to pick a new rod. When I was thinking about it in the car I realized it was most likely them putting tax back on the card. So really I don't think I got extra.
  12. Lol you just made snot shoot out my nose!!! A bikini spoiler is just a small. thin spoiler. Its almost like there isn't one their.
  13. For me it came down to the Crucial and Avid too. It was a dead tie for me, so I got the cheaper one. I would love to get the Avid or a Daiwa next. Also, SoFla when you got your Crucial, was the cork about a couple mm to big around for the real seat? Like protruding up? Because mine was so I just sanded it down a bit.

Fine i'll delete my comment, sheesh. WELL???????????????????????????????/ I did. Notice the "LOL" under the Original Post is gone?
  15. So today my mom took me to BPS, (without me nagging her for a week) and I wanted to exchange my BuCoo for a different rod, because it was too powerful, and well, I HATED those darn EVA poop grips. So basically after what seemed like hours looking for an affordable rod matching my length/power/action/grip/etc requirements, I walked out with a SC Premier. But, as soon as I got in the car I noticed it has a large cut in the blank on the side of the rod > So I told mom were going back in. But for some reason they have me $136 store credit instead of $119. But I didnt complain. Then I saw the holy grail awaiting me, That purdy Crucial 7' M/XF staring me down. I just had to have it! ;D So I payed the $25 or whatever difference it was and hopped in the car a happy camper As soon as I got it here today I threw a CarbonLite reel on it, some Power Pro and hit the water. Man casting with this thing is so light and crisp!!! I was tossing a 3/8 ounce t-rig probably about 15 feet more than I was with my Bucoo. And man, this thing is sensitive! I could tell you exactly what kind of bottom composition I was hopping on. I could feel just about everything and could even detect a fish picking up my lure from the bottom that I wouldn't have felt with any other rod I own. And boy, this has one fast tip! I really like the XF on it. Rock solid hooksets that gave me confidence this fish was stuck on my line. Also for a M, I thought it had just the right amount of power because I could play them out in the open water, but I could horse them out of semi-thick foliage. The guides and inserts are also top notch with lightweight frames (Noticeably thin to my eyes) and with New Concept Alconites for the inserts. Its holding up to braid so far, and I bet it will forever. Although, the first 4 guides from the bottom are double footed, which isn't a big deal to me, but might be to some others. Also there are 9 guides plus the tip for a total of 10. The cork on this rod is also amazing. Its my first "Higher end" rods with cork on it and boy it feels sooooo good compared to EVA. But this is only peronsonal preference. Another thing is I thought the grip was a little short for me, but beggars cant be choosers. The looks of this rod have got to be sur-par. It looks stunning outside with the Chamillion paint , it would be a match made in heaven with a Curado. Maybe its the same paint minus the flake? Idk. The laser etching on the but of the rod was also a nice touch, similar to what ABU did with there Vendetta line of rods. Also i'm really digging the limited lifetime over the counter warranty. SHIMANO, you've got a customer for life 8-) Next on my list will have to be a Daiwa to try :
  16. Oh great, now instead of chanting the "get a bucoo" mantra you will be recommending a Crucial to everyone who should dare ask ...can I get a "Hell ya" Steve Austin style ;D No. I'll still chant Bucoo for the $100 range. But I wont chant Crucial (Well i might) because there are far too many great options in the $150 range.
  17. SHIMANO is also made in China, but who didn't expect that? ;D
  18. You probably prefer Honda's with a huge fart can, and huge aluminum wing on the back don't you?? No, I prefer 69' Camaros with a bikini spoiler, large rear tires, and a blower sticking out of the hood. Thank you come again.
  19. I've tried, but im not all that good at it
  20. Wait 'til Bass Brat see's that! Take cover clary! BTW, that wont be your avatar pic, I can assure you that much. You can't dispute the chosen one !!!!!!!! Lol The Chosen One... has a nice ring to it ;D
  21. Colors stay the same, but my lure noise goes up. I like my cranks with wide wobbles and loud rattles. Not sure if it really does produce more, but it does wonders with my confidence.
  22. I keep a 1-gallon ziplock bag just for this purpose. Once i'm done with a plastic it goes in this bag. About a week later I get crazy colors, which some produce, some dont. Sorta like the bass fishing lottery
