  2. great reel/good rod 8-) niiicee(: I woulda got the 7.1:1 gear though but 6.4 works! 8-) I think you'll like it alot! Oh before I forget...
  3. Nate, It would be awesome if you don't mind. Could you do a crankbait one as sort of a 'demo' so to speak?
  4. They don't list the actions but my Dad's GM rod's fish like a slightly soft FAST.
  5. Thats what most of us do IMO. Especially with more expensive lines and braid
  6. As a general rule of thumb, for all purpose, I like to set my drag at 2/3 the lines breaking strength. So if your using say 12# line set it at 8#. The only exception I make really is when jig fishing with braid. I lock the drag down as far as I can get it without damaging my reel. If your really really finessy fishing with say... 6# line, even 4#'s of pressure will usually set the hook good IMO. And if your using a BC you can always use your thumb so hold the spool while you swing away. But remember drag is to tire the fish while he runs. It in most cases is not for hooksets and won't affest them IMO 8-)
  7. Who styled that hotel? :-? Is that put put golf grass for carpet!?
  8. I say dont go below a medium power IMO unless your fishing extremely light, small tubes etc
  9. Took post down, dont want to offend anybody ;D
  10. I thank the good man above for I am not allergic to anything
  11. Huh?? :-? And I'm in the process of editing videos at the moment so be patient people!
  12. Been there done that. Payed me back in a couple hours too Lol I made an "unhealthy" salad -Leftover salad -Cut up Papa johns the meats pizza -Cut up chicken fingers -Cut up left over 5 GUYS cheeseburger -A mcChiken from mcdonalds (Dont know why its in my fridge LOL) -And a lot of honey mustard salad dressing. Sadly, it was AMAZINGLY GOOD! and i'd make it again provided I had the ingredients. And something for the next time you go to McDonalds. Put a McChiken inside a McDouble, all in all, and eat. Its SOOO good, and for $2 it fills you better than the $6 Big Mac meal. So try it. Here in Stafford VA we call it a McGangbang LOL ;D
  13. Basically from your rod tip to your reel will be sufficient. Tie your fluoro/mono to the braid with an Alberto knot and reel it up to the rod tip then cut your mono/fluoro off at the reel and you should have somewhere around 6-7 feet. You will get many reties from it 8-) Alberto Knot ---> http://www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articles/article_arby_albertos_knot.shtml It looks hard but trust me its not
  14. Last year my Dad bought around 1k in fishing stuff not including a boat. This year he hasn,t baught anything to do with fishing
  15. Oh I see. So for example, (If you've seen Step Brothers) You would be the ones who physically put together the Catalina Classic?
  16. x 1,000,000,000
  17. It sure is beautiful up there
  18. Whats your line of work if you don't mind me asking?
  19. It's private label Seaguar. At least, as of two years ago it was. I'm not sure of the actual "grade" or composition in comparison to Seaguar's own lines. I've heard rumors that Toray or Seaguar makes it.
  20. I use the alberto knot for braid to Fluoro/mono and its SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the uni-uni
  21. Does it only happen with braid? because braid is notoriously noisy
  22. Couple inches to maybe a foot or two. And i've heard bad things about Vicious. I would get some AbrazX 10# instead.
  23. I know right im going to build one!
  24. Glenn, you've got mail also!
