  1. How do I know my case is bad? I ask my lucky swimbait (shadalicious 3.5" in sexy shad) for advice on everyday things. I spend almost all my free time here or out on the water. I can't sleep because i'm always thinking about my next big purchase. I clean my rods and reels daily, just to have an excuse to touch them. I re-organize my whole tackle bag/box system every time I purchase any lures, even 1. The salesmen at Bass Pro know my name AND phone number (They call me to make sure i'm alright if I haven't visited in 2 weeks as a joke) I used to always keep a bag of YUM ribbontails in my school backpack, for some reason i dont know. At seminars, Pro anglers have personally told me I have a problem. I can assure you, this disease will take over your whole life. BTW when you get newborn family members you can buy them expensive reels and sacrifice your time to break them in and use there reels for them 8-)
  2. Haha here's how we'll settle it. You. Me. Dallas Cowboys stadium. Two Wii's. Two Rapala Fishing games. Two 60 yd. tv's. 100,000+ Bass resource members cheering us on. Dallas Cheerleaders cheering us on ( Can't forget them 8-) ). The rules? First Angler to catch and cull 50 lbs of fish. Or we could flood the stadium, stock it with fish, put two bass boats in it and fish for real ! 8-) It would be like arena tournament fishing. Which isn't really a bad idea. That would make money IMO 8-)
  3. HEY! Francho who let you take pictures of my girlfriend? ;D haha jk If thats your wife/girlfriend then you are a very lucky man! She's quite a sight for sore eyes 8-)
  4. I HATE THAT!! i got it today from plenty dinks today shore fishing.
  5. Gahhh. I like the "classic" look of the Loomis. Plus I'm set on a Curado, which would look b-e-a-utiful on the Mossyback, especially with green braid. I constantly have to remind myself to worry more about performance than looks, LOL. Thats what I told her And If I lived about 25 minutes more south we'd all be under 18, in the rishmond area, and all in one post.
  6. Right now I'm looking to get a Cara t7 with a zillion for myself
  7. your problem was you got cx, not cxx. Cxx is far superior in my eyes
  8. Uni knot for hard baits. Soft baits snelling the hook is always the way to go.
  9. Why in the world would you ever want to use a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse? There is no better way to aim in games than with a mouse. Amen, I can flick my mouse and turn 180 before a joy stick even starts to respond! My paid like 220 dollars I beleive for my controller? :-? somewhere around there and I bet it can blow your mouse away!! Although aiming with a mouse is easier, I cant get used to hitting buttons on the keyboard.
  10. Always try to match the hook size with the hooks that came standard on your cranks. Then they should run identical to the way they were ment, the manufacturers most likely spent some time playing around with hook sizes so don't shy from them. As for red or black, go with red. Some people say they produce more, some say they produce the same. I have no preference on hook color but If I can get red I will. It cant hurt to have red hooks but sometimes it will hurt to not have red ones IMO.
  11. It depends mainly on your brake settings, spool tension and how trained your thumb is. If you can cast with out any brakes and hardly any spool tension, both of your reels will go forever with some quality oil.
  12. Powell and Dobyns have some good crankin sticks but of the ones you mentioned the Quantum is the best IMO
  13. KVD, Ike, Bill Dance, Roland Martin and probably alot of the guys and gals on this forum
  14. as colors go deeper they turn black.black is harder to see against darker backrounds then green .especially braid when it turns light green.my next question is do we think it really matters if they see it?after years of trying different lines under different conditions i have come to the conclusion line visibility means nothing.you either have a fish willing to bite your bait or you don't.if he's concentrating on your line you have the wrong bait. IMHO If a fish is concentrating on your line you have the wrong line.
  15. Im looking to step up from my PQ's and Carbonlites and am looking in the 200-250 ish range. The main four I am looking at are listed above in order from more to less interest. I am going to most likely be using it for Texas rigging solely, and will hardly throw anything weighing more than 1/4 ounce, with 3/16 and 1/8 being used mostly and an occasional weightless. What reel is going to be smoothest? Cast light lures best? Be most comfortable in my hand? More Durable? Most upgrade options? I only want to buy something I can readily buy at BPS, so no JDM reels please. I can't go to BPS to store fish them, because my parents really don't wanna drive me 3 hours for a reel. Thanks I'm looking forward to your opinions and suggestions! Edit I will be throwing braid or Fluorocarbon in about 12-15 # test if it matters.
  16. North Fork Composites blanks. Owned by Gary Loomis himself!
  17. where can we buy them ? :-? or can we buy them i should say
  18. Please excuse myself while I pick my jaw up off the floor.
  19. I haven't gotten sick..... but then again I haven't eaten eggs in forever and we get our eggs from a friends farm soo.
  20. Its a Skate egg. Encountered it on my trip at the OBX 8-)
  21. They are good reels for the money and you will enjoy them, but you will definately notice how much you enjoy your Zillion or Revo or Curado better. But if you really want to save some money and just get more PQ's or CL's , I recommmend the CL's. They're just a lighter more comfortable reel than the PQ (I say comfort for the EVA knobs!) 8-)
