Vendetta Heavy
I suggest picking yourself up a Falcon Bucoo, SHIMANO compre, Gander Mountain GSX Titanium, or the higher up BPS rods.

Agreed. That comment won't sit so well at the BassResource.com.

I think it's gonna be like every other Abu product out there. There's gonna be the people who(Excuse the colorful language) have a h*rd on for Abu who will praise it and make it seem like Jesus and then your gonna have the Abu haters who are gonna say its poop. It looks a like a good reel, but also I think they're trying a little too hard.

Cxx Is Out, Now What?
Nobody has mentioned braid? As supple as it gets and all the strength you need in a tiny diameter. I recommend a quality braid such as Sufix 832, Sufix Performance braid, or Daiwa Samurai in the 10 # diameter.

Your Bass Fishing Setups
I'd consider the sensitivity equal to each other. I think the BPS rods will be a little lighter. Idk though, i dont have both in identical powers/actions/lengths. The BPS comes with fuji K-Guides also. A nice upgrade over standard frames. Both have alconite inserts however. The BPS has a 2 piece reel seat with a lot of exposed blank. Its nice and easy to pick up on lite bites, but I still can feel any difference sensitivity wise between those and standard fuji ECS seats that come on the Titanium. The cork on the Titanium is also VERY nice. Its extremely comfortable to hold all day and my hands dont slip. The BPS grip is nice also, im just not a big foam guy no matter what rod its on. Both rods have a lot of quality and nice touches to them. I'll take some side-by side pics of the stuff if you want. Basically it'll all be a preference thing.

Your Bass Fishing Setups
Let me re-phrase it. I wasn't happy with the 7' M/XF. Fished like a ML. I love the Crucials, but when I went to BPS they really didn't have much in stock so I went with a different companies rod.

Your Bass Fishing Setups
It's definitely a great rod in my opinion. It's very comfortable to fish with although it's a touch tip-heavy. That's probably because im using a sub 7 ounce reel and its a 7'2" Heavy rod. It's a great all purpose rod for bigger baits, but I think it excels at bigger flukes in grass. The sensitivity is great on it also. It's no Loomis NRX for sure, but it was better than my Crucial. Also it says it has titanium strips to reinforce the rods. Supposedly it makes them stronger. But man, do these rods have some backbone I think its because the titanium strips go from the reel seat to the first guide. Dont quote me though im not sure. And I sold my Crucial on Ebay. Really just wasn't happy with it.

Your Bass Fishing Setups
JM Siganture Series II 6'8" MH/XF. /// BPS Prolite 6.3:1 (Awesome reel btw) - Spinnerbaits, t-rigs, swim jigs, and Cranking. (I only crank less than 8' really so I dont need a moderate rod.) Gander Mountain GSX Titanium 7'2" H/F /// BPS Carbonlite 6.4:1 - Flipping and pitching, frogs, buzzbaits, c-rigs(But hardly throw em!) Big plastics, and all around jigs. Both reels are spooled up with 40# Sufix 832 with a rods length leader of 10# P-line CXX Crystal clear. A great combination for sensitivity and alot of power and strength.

Your Favorite Fishing Rods
I think the store branded rods are a great bang for your buck. When directly comparing a SHIMANO Cumara to a BPS Signature Series II, the signature series was on par sensitivity wise, and it balanced a bit better with the lighter reels. (Caronlite, Prolite.) Today I went out and picked up a Gander rod too. I got the GSX Tournament Titanium rod. Felt great! For a 7'2" H rod it balanced great. Right in front of the reel seat, and that's without a reel. The only sacrifice I see with the store brand rods is usually the guides. The 250$ will probably come with SiC's, and the 125$ will probably come with Alconites. But for ~$100 difference, I can live with Alconites.

Cranking Line?
Just some good ole' mono. I like Sufix Seige or Sufix Deep Crankin' in both 10 # for it. And yes, the pq will do well for cranking. I have the Carbonlite ( Uglier, but significantly lighter Pro Qualifier) in 6.4:1 and its easy for me to crank deep. It would be effortless with a 4.9:1. Casts a country mile too.

Olive Garden Bread Sticks
This. By far the best biscuits i've had. Also; side note. I accidently hit the -1 instead of the +1. Sorry Mods is there a way to reverse it?

Starting 8 Year Old On Artificial Bait
Something I think is key when fishing with younger kids is use the same bait that they are, which should be something to catch quantity, not quality. If they see a more experienced fisherman as yourself using the same bait they'll have more confidence they will catch fish. It usually keeps them more interested and focused.

Expensive Baits
The fish dont know how much he spent on a crankbait. But they probably picked up something they liked about it compared to your crank. Whether it be tighter or wider wobble, deeper depth, different color. However generally speaking, you get better "Quality" baits if you spend a little more. LIke nicer paint jobs, sharper hooks, tungsten internal weights, etc. Although the affore mentioned things are not necessary to catch quality fish.

Skeet Reese Rods
There are much better rods out there. Look at the Falcon Bucoo. They're lightyears ahead of Skeet Reese's product if you ask me. Also check out the Shimano Compres, and the St.Croix Premier. All are relatively in your price range and should be available at your local gander mountain.

Best Fishing Line
Really? I switched to 832 from power pro and sufix original and i love the 832. The color does bleed massively though. After counting 5 practice casts there was a very noticeable color difference between fresh line. What didn't you like about it?

I hear the new Batman poles are now 10% lighter and stronger.

Your Favorite Brand Of Reels (Baitcast Or Spinning)
Daiwa. By far the most comfortable fishing reels out there IMO. Also cast pretty dang far, as well as SHIMANO. But I chose Daiwa because the palmability and ergonomics of there reels are second to none.
