  1. I feel like that is most Abu Garcia Products. Vendetta anyone ?
  2. Hahahaha. Infinite props. "Loose on entry" ! LOL
  3. I've never actually watched a fishing DVD, but try youtube and the videos on this site. Also reads the many articles on this site! There are articles specifically for worming and jigging. God bless Germany also all the other Bad *** things you have and we dont
  4. Interesting. Im Skeptic though. I'll wait for user reviews from reliable sources.
  5. I think the Dobyns will fit the bill better. St.Croixs are generally a little tip heavy which you may not like. Dobyns will balance a little better. And the Zillion Coastal is an excellent choice. I really like the color too! It will look killer on A Dobyns Champion. But rods mostly are going to be personal choice, as is all fishing gear. You can fish fluoro line if you wish, but I recommend braid because it's the most sensitive line out there, and it has an extremely small diameter. If you're worried about fish seeing your line, but add a fluoro leader about the length of your rod.
  6. I would get a Dobyns Champion 7' M/F paired with a Daiwa Zillion. Get some quality braid like Sufix 832 and you'll be set. I'd also recommend purchasing these at ***.com They dont charge tax and shipping is free if you spend more than $50 . (Not sure about internartional though). And while your there you can search through the soft plastics to see if anything there tickles your fancy.
  7. Your english is fine (: And we can help you even more if you can give us a price range!
  8. Call me old fashioned, but I like Sufix Deep Crankin' for Deep Crankin'. 10# to be precise.
  9. So I got my Preferred members newsletter today and saw something interesting. They're having a Preferred members weekend in Vegas for FREE! for 2 people. Perks are ; Free 3-day/2-night stay at Silverton Casino Lodge 2 free tickets to weekend kickoff party with celebrity guests and live concert 2 free tickets to the NASCAR trucks series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Free seminars and roundtable discussions with BPS National Hunting and fishing pro Free access tot he archery and rifle ranges at the BPS las vegas store 2 tickets for the slot tournament there (Not me though ) 2 free meals, and transportation to and from the airport in Las Vegas (Upon Request) So here's my question. Is there a catch? I assume coming from such a big company like BPS everything would be top notch and very professional. I know it says when you register and are in the first 250 to register (Thats how you get in) you give them your credit card number. This is for incase you dont cancel and not show up, they can charge you $500 for The hotel, race, etc. But as long as you cancel by 9/15/11 your good. I just showed my dad this so we could go and he was pretty skeptical, but he wants to go. The only thing we need is airline tickets and a rental car, + food for 2 days. How many of you guys have gone ? If anyone? Or is this the first time BPS has done anything like this.
  10. Right now they have the Johnny Morris Sig Series II rods on sale for $99. The same price as a Carbonlite. GO with the JM I just picked one up and the difference is night and day. Holding it next to a Cumara the Balance point is in the same place and the sensitivity felt on par from the voice test.
  11. I was just thinking about high-dollar custom rods. Just an idea.
  12. Thanks for your help guys. I felt the avid's pretty tip heavy which kinda put off. for less than the price of the Avid I got a BPS Prolite special reel (The daiwa copy) and a JOhnny Morris Signature series II 6'8" MH/XF (More of a Fast) for 160. Thanks for the Avid opinions!
  13. Can anyone compare sensitivity wise to a Crucial ?
  14. Upgraded drag washers. Someone else who knows more about them can tell you more but I do know my CL's drag seems to be maxing out at about 6 lb's instead of 8 as advertised.
  15. Want one, but I'm limited to BPS gift cards Haha can't have your cake and eat it too now
  16. Has anybody ever pioneered them ? Just diamonds in the guide. Well, polished of course. You would think the hardest material on earth would be the best. Then again, would they be heavy? If they're out there, they're definately not main-stream. Would probably cost a small fortune too. Just curious. And also mods, I apolagize if this is in the wrong section. I figured this section or tacklemaking section.
  17. Don't worry about being confused at the beginning. Some manufacturers interchange the words power and action on their lower model rods. I really don't know why but it's just a common occurance.
  18. 65 lb Power Pro from your local wal-mart will do ya and only cost you about $12. However if you want a much smoother line for a reasonable price look at Sufix 832 Performance braid. It's silk compared to Power Pro.
  19. If you like your lightning rod get it in MH. I'm pretty sure they make it MH. Also check out Gander Mountain and look at their clearance area. They have some decent store-brand ans name-brand rods at great prices.
  20. Hey guys, thinking about picking up an Avid tomorrow and was wondering what the characteristics about it are. Stuff like if their more pwerful than their rating, if their actions are a little faster or slower, balance point with a lighter reel etc. Also, how's the customer service? If I snap a rod I want to be able to replace it. Thanks guys. To be more specific i'm looking at the 7' MH/F for larger plastics, jigs, but mostly spinnerbaits and shallow cranks.
  21. I've watched those a few times and just really like the format. Maybe next you can get out with KVD
