Spinning Rod And Reel
For a technique where sensitivity is absolutely key your going to want to spend most of your money on your rod, and get an okay reel. Also, If you havent decided on line I highly recommend braid with a fluorocarbon leader. Here's what I suggest. St.Croix Avid 6'8" M/XF - 180 Daiwa Exceler - 80 ________________________ All together -260 $10 over, but it'll be a great combo for a long time and St.Croix's Customer service is top-notch. I believe the rod has a lifetime warranty and a upgrade program, should you ever want something better, you just send them your old rod and the difference in price for the new rod, and you get a new rod.

Whats Your Favorite Trailer For A Swim Jig?
Hey slonezp, why do you rig the paddle tail with the paddle pointing up? Just curious because swimbaits and such have it facing down.

Senkos Bunching On My Hook.
Must be dinks them. I didn't think of smaller fish biting the unhooked portion. Fat-G, Im using YUM dinger's. I just call all of them senkos. And J, It's definitely not a wimpy hookset

I Want One
I used one last year at my school. They're very cool indeed. I made a Crankbait, but it sorta crumpled up.

Senkos Bunching On My Hook.
So lately i'm been using a senko and been getting some nice bass. That is when i can actually hook em' good enough to bring em' in. I'm just using a standard weightless t-rig, but it's bunching really bad at the point of my hook badly. I'm losing a lot of fish because of it. I'm using a 5" senko by the way. I've tried changing hook type from an offset worm hook to EWG's to owner senko hookd from 2/0 to 5/0. Maybe I am rigging it wrong? Here's how im rigging it.

Snags You Thought Were A Fish

Seagaur Comes Out With Some New Lines.
Seagaur is coming out with some new lines for the bass world folks. Kanzen braid and Senshi Mono. Details here. I'll definately be trying the braid and probably pick some mono up too if the price is right, and i'm assuming it should since it is mono. I think it's obviously a great move for Seaguar to bring out some braid and mono, a nice change of pace from fluoro

Dobyns Rods Expands For Icast 2011
Great gooogly mooogly. Im interested if they'll go Fuji for the Micro Guides, and wonder if it will be partial or full Micro. I think I'd rather see partial, but thats just my preferance.

Use heavy weights to begin with. It'll be much easier to start casting with. Also set the spool tension so that the lure drops slowly when you shake the rod tip. The spool should stop turning when the lure/weight hits the ground. I'd also suggest turning your brakes up pretty high. You can lower them as you progress, and you will gain more distance. Also, if your used to spinning reels, the casting method is quite different. When using spinning reels a lot of people use the sort of, snap, cast. With Baitcasting gear you want to a lot more fluid and let the rod do the work in the casting. Also, make sure to feather the spool. You want to barely be touching the spool with your thumb throughout the whole cast, and then stop the spool as soon as your lure hits the water.

I thought it would be somewhere in the Zillion price range wise. I dont know if I would shell out 350-400 for one but they sure look nice. Guess I'll stick with the zillion. I think both the Z and T3 are ugly *$$ reels.

It's so you don't get line twist. It makes the line easier to break. I put the line through the first guide on my rod to make sure it spools evenly and put the spool between my feet to keep a bit of tension on the line.

Tattoos?
This is what Im going to get. It's sort of a tribal sea turtle with a image of a sunrise on its shell at the beach. It's gonna go on my right bicep. It represents my love for the ocean/beach. Below is my drawing of it. I'd obviously have the artist clean it up and make it look better, and put color too the picture in the shell. I want the tribal part to be a fade from bottom left to be a sea green going to a cape blue in the upper right.

Tattoos?
Haha my dad has also throw'n around the idea of the G.Loomis fish idea. I think alot of fisherman have.

Tattoos?
I think SOME look attractive. Just think of all the hot, tan, broads with lower back tattoos. I'll have to take a picture of what i'm getting when I turn 18. I've wanted it since I was 13.
