  1. Anyone else think Shane is a dead man? Or will Vic spare him when he finds out? I thought he was going to end it for sure but that would have been too easy.
  2. The wait has been too long! I'm stoked! This is the only TV series I watch.
  3. I love it. If I had a "Go To" line, CXX would be it. I have full confidence in the stuff. I use it from 4 pound up to 25 pound test. The memory doesn't seem to bother me.
  4. What is too expensive? For $10-$20, Matt Lures are hard to beat.
  5. They are all out shopping for swimbaits! Most of us on this side of the country knew it was just a matter of time. 8-)
  6. Nice! Did you throw the bait back a second time to make sure she learned her lesson??
  7. Everything works at night. I mostly use a variety plastics fished very slow. I also use cranks, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, topwater, swimbaits, and jigs with some success. Everything works. Soft plastics are my go to. As far as safety...I never fish without a light, preferably a head light so both hands can work freely. I don't fish from a boat so I can't really help there but someone else will.
  8. Great pics!! Looks like good times. Thanks for sharing. 8-)
  9. A variety of swimbaits 8" - 12" Worms Jigs Does live bait count?? And my biggest bass ate a 4" plastic worm... :-? :
  10. Chris, you are a continued inspiration! Keep after 'em! (but you don't need me to tell you that)
  11. Secrets been out here for a while. It still kills 'em! 8-)
  12. Check out these videos and judge for yourself. I'm sold. http://www.dvllocal.com/Videos.html
  13. WOW!! I need to make the drive up to Northern Cali!!!
  14. Great store. I buy 75% of my tackle from TW. I really like the fact that their website tells you how many pieces they have in stock and it's very accurate. The only time I had to deal with customer service is when I had a gift certificate issue but they resolved it in a matter of minutes. Very friendly. And it's $50 or more for free FedEx ground shipping. Since they are located about 2.5 hours from me, I get my ground orders from them next day if the order is placed before 1 or 2pm.
  15. Roboworms are my "go to" finesse worms. The 4.5" and 6" straight tails are great on a dropshot. They sit in a nose down/tail up position when nose hooked and dead sticked. Any current will move the tail in a very natural motion. I also really like the Body Shad. All great baits on a split shot as well.
  16. Sorry dude. Joking or not, that is totally uncalled for. We have some of the best law enforcement in the WORLD. There is no reason to insult them by saying they are lazy. Far from it. I apologize for getting off topic.
  17. Matt Fly, welcome back. It is my understanding that Jed did weigh his fish both times on the lakes certified scale. Mac's fish was not.
  18. Thanks for the input everyone. I guess it's a toss up. I have a $150 gift certificate which has been sitting on my desk since Christmas. There are so many goodies I want but I NEED another casting reel. I'm also considering the Inshore Coastal Special to double as a surf and freshwater reel. I might just drop another $50 for the Curado. Man...decisions, decisions. :-/
  19. I own a BPS Extreme. It's a great rod for the money and a good all purpose rod. I throw everything from jerkbaits to dropshot with it. I would go with the Extreme/Stradic combo.
  20. I'm looking for more line capacity. It will be used for both largemouth and striped bass. The Mg is sweet but I was very uncomfortable with the line capacity when fishing for stripers. It's powerful enough to handle 'em but I don't think it holds enough line for the bigger boys. For Largemouth, I completely agree with you. The 50-100 size is just right.
  21. Thanks KU!! Exactly the type of answer I was NOT looking for!! I'm just waiting for the "Get the Daiwa, it looks cooler" response. :

    Top 40 all over 20.
  23. Simple question, which would you buy and why? I'm stuck... :-/
