  1. Buzzbaits Lucky Craft Gunfish 95
  2. Exactly! Is $49.99 confirmed or just a rumor?
  3. OH BOY!! I guess the CHP officer driving behind me earlier today didn't do HIS job because he didn't write me a ticket while I was doing 75 in a 65 zone. : Get over it. I'm being good. Really, I'm biting my tounge on this one and not getting caught up like last year. Live and learn! "I'll just sit back and watch the show"
  4. I love Izorline Platinum. I mainly use it in 8 pound for drop shotting but plan on trying the heavier stuff for other techniques. Give it a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
  5. Most of the time a king size Snickers bar and a bottle of water. For long days I pack a sandwich along with other snacks. Salmon jerky is one of my favorites.
  6. C'mon dude, you live is San Diego where the average house is in excess of $300,000, maybe $400,000. You can't drive ten miles anywhere in the region without passing a few dozen Lexus, Mercedes, et. al. Why would you think there wouldn't be a market for a $800 fishing combo. There's plenty of people, particularly in southern California that spend more money than that on dinner! What's a weekend at La Costa cost these days? Last time I was there a round of golf, drinks, breakfast-lunch & dinner, and spa time for the wife was something north of two big ones. I would rather have the rod and reel, even if it's the WRONG brand :. At least I'd have something to show for the money. Couldn't have said it better myself. Roadwarrior is being nice when he said 10 miles. Here is Los Angeles try 10 seconds. : I'm not exaggerating. I know a few people who already have Steez combos. There seems to be a decent amount of demand considering the price.
  7. 8-) Let the games begin! I'm not getting caught up again.
  8. Congratulations Boyd! Well done. 8-)
  9. You could also say that Ike was endangering lives. If a huge storm came in and turned everything pitch black, how would anybody see Ike floating around with out a tall rear light? Realize he broke a light pole that is also for safety. That is a safety issue, why do you think those light poles were still in the holders? For the look? Doubtful. Swindle motioned to everybody that he was coming through, everybody holds there place, like they should, then nobody would ever get hurt in that situation. They blocked the d**n waterway, Trip Weldon was the one to over-react on this issue. He has a quick DQ trigger, whatever happen to giving people warnings? That is the more appropriate act in Swindle situation on the water. Idle through the crowd, my a*s. Show some respect to everybody on the water and don't block the water way for other people if you are not fishing yourself. Troll around at a good distance back and get out your binoculars to view the angler you care to watch. I'm not arguing why Ike was DQ'ed. I'm arguing why Ranger dumped him. Anyone who has seen the footage of both situations has to agree that what Swindle did was FAR more dangerous than what Iaconelli did. I've been around various boats for most of my life. I have seen freak things happen like boats at high speed getting pitched to one side or the other by small wakes. What if his steering gave out? Yup...seen that happen all too many times from PWC to 30+ foot offshore boats. Anything can happen on the water. It was just very unsafe. I don't think he should have idled through the crowd...but he shouldn't have blasted through at that rate of speed. Not that close to other boats at least.
  10. ;D Avid has entered the "Dark ZZZZide". Glad you're liking it. That combo is sweet! 8-)
  11. Sam, I'm with you on this one. Swindle and Iaconelli both made judgment errors. Ike threw a tantrum and Swindle flew by boats in a very unsafe manner. Which was worse? Ike throwing a hissy fit or Swindle endangering lives? It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I've talked to some people that understand Swindles mindset, "Time is Money". That's a load. Time is money for me too but I don't speed in a school zone when their are kids around just because I have to make some paper. And if I did, I would get cited for it. Plain and simple. I applaud Triton for not getting trigger happy here. It was a mistake and he apologized. Lets move on. Ranger on the other hand was very quick to throw Ike under the bus. Oh well...they lost. Ike stuck it to 'em good last year!
  12. The ones stuck at the bottom of the lake! >
  13. I use a fanny pack for most of my soft plastics, all of my hooks, some hardbaits with hook protectors, and a camera. The fanny pack gives me extra storage right at my fingertips. I keep my everything else in a backpack and usually set it down while fishing. I use various plano boxes for swimbaits, hardbaits, jigs, terminal tackle and some soft plastics. It all gets stuff into the backpack.
  14. Thanks everyone! Bass Resource rules!! 8-)
  15. Russ, feel free to use the picture of the 11 pounder I caught last summer if you need more pics. I haven't sent another pic because I'm already in one of the videos. But that was only a 5 pounder! I will email it right now...let me know if you don't receive it.
  16. Nice work Jay. I'm glad to see the charm came back for some more Cali love! Now it's been to No.Cal and So.Cal at least once. 8-) Clear Lake is a great idea. I'd be there in a heartbeat!
  17. I would. Not sure if I would if money was on the line.
  18. What is the best style blade for waking a spinnerbait? Would a single blade work better than a double blade? Does size matter?
  19. Nick, Great work! Keep it up! 8-)
  20. I use the RI Screwed Up Jighead. Easy to use and very sharp hooks. I use them with 6" Roboworm Straight Tails.
  21. I've tried them and don't like them very much. I prefer Roboworms. Robos have a ton more action, IMO. And I can find Roboworms in any tackle shop around here. I can't say the same about The Flirt.
  22. I vote other... Drop Shot, 4.5" Roboworm Straight Tail.
  23. Don't rule out dead sticking the bluegill.
