  1. I love the jitterbug at night, I'm a bit ashamed of myself because my newer plugs are always used instead of it (new toys I guess). The way I've always used it was throw it, let it sink, and then slowly reel it back in with no twitches or anything.
  2. I love slug-gos. Let it drop when it hits the water, they have a great slow drop that will get strikes. As stated above quick twitches and then pauses work. You can also work it quick as a wake bait up top and get strikes. Lovely baits.
  3. Awesome, thanks for the info.
  4. Love that second cabelas combo link. If I had the money I'd be all over that for my swimbait/frog/crank rod
  5. Nate I'm probably a bit off from going there (will probably wait until my kids are a couple years older), but how do you think a kayak would do on the water? Is it a big boat lake?
  6. Rubber worms or slug-gos have never failed me in farm ponds.
  7. Always nice to have another PA person on here.
  8. Ah cool, great information. I was just looking up Raystown Lake. Not too far away, and might be a good camping spot for the family.
  9. Thanks guys. I'll keep throwing it out there for a bit before I banish it to my backup tackle box:)
  10. I picked one of these up a few weeks ago and haven't had any luck so far. One question I have is about the retreive. I keep reading about going slow with swimbaits and I think its one thing I need to work on, however I'm wondering if I should be throwing in the occasional jig or twitch like I am currently. I'm sure the bait has some fish in it, I just need to figure out how to get em out:)
  11. If I was only visiting the in-laws
  12. Grats! Actually got my first frog bass today as well. Mine hit it in a lake with no grass or anything. I brought it across the creekbed, he hit it once and missed so I flipped it back over and got him. I was using a spro bronzeye tree frog color.
  13. Sounds like there are a bunch of nice ones out there. Thanks for the comments.
  14. Been looking at a lot of different types for sale (ie. Lunker Punker, Silent Runner, Zara Spook). Anyone have a favorite? Also anyone know the weight of the 5" Injected Lunker Punker?
  15. I still have two of the original Dancin Eels. I don't think I've ever got anything on them.

Anyone ever use these? The Silent Runner Jr and the Prop Runner Jr look pretty nice.
  17. Ah dang, pm sent but sent too late. Grats whomever gets em!
  18. The clones that are coming out are 10 each. Nice looking frog.
  19. Wish they sold online, I like the price of 50 bucks for the 6 shad or sunfish.
  20. Thanks guys. Slow roll means just keeping it moving along the bottom or cover, right?
  21. Anyone try these out? I picked up a pack and have used them once. Do you bring them in with a straight reel, jig them, or a combination?

Thanks for those. I should say I prefer hard baits to soft when I can, but with swimbaits that might not be an option.
  23. I'm pretty addicted to swimbaits, or ate least the idea of them, however I don't have a big rod to throw the weighter ones. Any recommendations for ones 1.5 oz or under? I have the Spro 4" shad on my list so far.
  24. Very nice looking
