Favorite Trailer Tires
Hate to say it but I have had a different result from my T-A tires. Just replaced both after a year and a half. Outside edge bald, rest of it okay. Could be my axel is off, but i would much rather blame the tire. Just put on two new galv'd and they look and feel great

Saying No To The Bucket Fishermen
It is good practice- but nothing wrong really with keeping a small but legal fish every once in a while. Usually if i see the fish is malnurished i may keep- chances are it has plastic in its belly.

Are You Better Than A Bucket Fisherman?

Saying No To The Bucket Fishermen
Bass are tasty fish- I keep one or two every once in a while from certain lakes.

Cold Front Help!!??
Deep fish less effected by weather effecting me up top=me always fishing deep. Seems like more and more every year I avoid shallow water.
-
Cold Front Help!!??
Stubborn as I am- still going to be throwing up to a 1oz mop jig in deep water!
-
Cold Front Help!!??
I will be in the same situation. The overnight lows are going to move them back a bit, and later in the afternoon they could move a bit shallower but tight to cover. My plan is to fish some primary and secondary points with jig/worm early. Once the sun is up and it starts to warm a bit, may pitch to wood or tight to any other cover.

Question About This Years Bass Spawning
Here in central IL they are not spawning yet, even with the water temps getting there. The overnight temps lately have really affected timing- but they are no doubt still in prespawn.

Rolling Swimbaits?
not rigged completely straight. There are a few swimbait jig style hooks out there that are angled and flat parallel to the water so that as it goes through the water, the water hitting the plane of the jig head causes it to rise to help stay higher in water column at slower speeds. I use them and they work, but cant recall name/brand. You could also go to 1/16 or 1/32oz hook keel weight. or sometimes it is easier to rig the bait through and out the side instead of the top with the hook you are using now. With some swimbaits this also adds increased plane of resistance causing the bait to stay higher, although not so much with the dippers.

Motorguide 20.8 Gator Mount
I know with that mount the pin does get stuck if i am running hard into the wind or current for long periods of time. Only happend to me twice, sprayed some lube on it and it is fine for now. When it did happen, just gave it a few knocks and it freed itself. Missed the "deploy" part and thought you were talking retrive. sorry.

Very Dumb Hds Question
Final question here. Do you guys than run one have any issues with battery drain. I would think that would be a huge issue running SS. Do you put a rocker switch in, shut it off all together, or run it to its own battery? thanks, and sorry if this has been asked a hundred times before.

Minn Kota Talon Or A Power Pole?
I dont bed fish at all either, not sure I would ever use the things if I got them for free bed fishing or not. I think the only time i would use them is to relax and drink a beer out of the wind in some shallow cove.

Very Dumb Hds Question
All good points- I have a feeling by end of the year I will have one in each place. Typically a deeper water fisherman- but almost all the lakes i go to, I already know generally know where i am going to go but this would give me the chace to explore. Largest lake i fish is about 57,000 acres or so exploring by TM is a bit tedious. Best option sounds like is to install at the helm. I am sure there are brackets that could swivel it around so I could view from the bow if wanted glace at the SI.

Very Dumb Hds Question
I am wanting to put new hds on my bow, currently do not have one at all just DI. Obviously i will need to get the SS and link everything but do have a few dumb questions. I really would rather have the system at the bow TM as that is where I am most of the time- I really dont want to just putz around from the drivers seat looking at the screen. That being said, would it be smart to have an HDS 7 at the bow and just move DI to the transom/drivers seat. Also, and here is the very dumb part. Since my TM will be rotating, will the signal from the transducer for SI/DI be able to read or will it be showing me screwed up images due to the rotating transducer. As you can see I am new to SI, but am very curious. Thanks, Mark
