  1. Temps a bit warmer down here, but have been catching them on rattle traps and worms mostly. Temps up, but still just fishing points and secondary points.
  2. Camp Kill yourself. "96 quite bitter beings" will now be in my head...not a bad thing- thanks for the reminder!
  3. I believe that quote is actually an ancient roman quote which is interesting, because their luck ran out… as it always does(indeed much more history to this including over expansion and bad decisions among other things). Luck is M. Barber running out of bounds and not running the clock out for example- Good luck for Tebow, stupidity on the part of the Bears. I believe he had completed 4 passes at that point in the game, 3 in the 4th to his credit. Anyhow, NFL qb and Heisman winning qb are a bit different as history has clearly shown. He was a first draft pick...but now what again was he traded for?? I think that demonstrates his new NFL value. I don't think Brady is a has been, he runs an effective team even with a well below par D. I do think Tebow is a heck of an athlete and the drive most of us don’t have. He can be used, just not as a starting qb- he should (will) be a utility player. I would say the biggest factor of luck is this. You are unlucky If you were born a Jets fan or have ever became one. Sanchez and Tebow…I am just not buying that is something that will come close to winning a division, or wildcard.
  4. Rhino- The statement was on his quality- luck does not make a qb a good qb. Yes he was lucky. Yes luck has its role in sports, and no luck does not sign paychecks for very long at any job.
  5. I must have missed somthing when i watched those games- guy was garbage and if I was a Denver fan I would be happy with this move. When you look at denvers current roster especially the D they need to try and win a super bowl in the next 2-3 years. Not wait 9 years untill Tebow learns how to throw. There was a lot of luck in the games he won, and a lot of misshaps. I should know, I saw him do it to the Bears (sans Cutler however).
  6. Just replaced my tm so i guess it would be a resolution to not do it this year. Resolutions are meant to be broken however.
  7. What he said. I fish other states and have never run into that before.
  8. I will try to go on plane at least twice this year with my tm down...
  9. hollow belly, swimshad, flatback? I personally use the flatback rigged on a jig head with good success.
  10. I would be a bit worried about getting on plane with that.
  11. really that is just the way it is...I would not let it bother you and no real way to insulate it from shooting through the hull, only to insulate it from you hearing it.
  12. Non powerplant lake in central il now was at 65- really cannot believe we have these water temps. Bass still staging though- biteing hard.
  13. Always fish it back to the boat mostly because i am fishing at or near deep water year round, or fishing uphill. There is also no better feeling than setting the hook on a large fish right underneath you.
  14. I am sure it works in the right spot, time, depth, etc. I also flat hate the idea of commercial fishing method being used on already very pressured waters for any species. Oh well, is what it is.
  15. Clinton bass were fair- nothing huge but all very fat and healthy. Crappie were very good, balled out at the mouths of coves- looks like they are getting ready to move in.
  16. You seem to be in the know...any idea why they went to the micro chips on the new systems? thanks.

I like rouges based on results and price. My one complaint on them is they are very light baits, so in high wind I do prefer an LC pointer- but obviously that is not what you want to spend so really a rouge is hard to beat.
  18. going sunday and monday, will let you know how it is going. This time of year there I stick away from warm water and am with you, usually good bites
  19. They were suspended over deeper water however right off of points...very close in fact. - Caught them at about 2 in the afternoon however slow rolling 1/2oz rattle traps with a swim and let sink back down retrieve.
  20. Tourney results needed and you could fine tune your fishing strenghts to specific sponsers.
  21. Water clarity does not make a huge difference to me- really I much prefer a swim jig- but typically I will only throw a spinner bait if I want to keep a bait higher in the water column at slower speeds as the blades provide lift. Even in windy and murky conditions, fish usually find the swim jig with the right trailer...if I am fishing the right depth that is.
  22. Water temps are in the 48 range here in central IL, and already catching big females. Still relating to deep water mostly 10ft plus. That was on Sunday- with 58 lows and 80 highs that water temp will spike up a bit, but most of the fish will not be making the move early even still. Sun angles i do believe have an effect on when to do it- Based on my graphs the bait fish are were balled up at 6 ft, and the big ones were just hovering below them still. They are more active than I have seen them this time of year no doubt about that. With the winter around these parts, Seems like the farmers are going to be planting in March!!
  23. sigh...shakes head, realizes work comes first tomorrow, shakes head and is thankful work provides for boat to get out later this week...but now banging my head against desk.
  24. Non power plant lake- water around 46 at the dam, 48 at the shallow northern end. Caught 8 fish in the 3 pound range on Saturday. Structure close to deep water on lipless crank worked slow.
  25. I am in please.
