How many rod brands do you use?
A particular brand of rods doesn’t really matter to me. If it fit’s a need and has the right length and action for what I need, and in my price point I’ll get it…. Loomis Phenix Fenwick Diawa Falcon Dobyns Quantum Reels however are a different story. Mike

New for 22
I decided to use traps and jerk baits more often this year. I pick one or the other up when things slow but never stay with them long enough to give them a real chance. Mike

Recommendations for beginner moving baits
Also, grab yourself a bag of swim worms… Rage Cut R, Zoom UV Speed worms etc. You can throw them as a top water bait, or with a small unpegged weight. Throw them in and around any type of vegetation while dropping in any holes along the way. Mike

What line(s) would you use if you fished only one lake.
The Worlds Largest Tarpon Tournament was held every year in Boca Grande Pass on the SW coast of Florida not far from me for years. Known as the “Tarpon Capital of the World” it brought together pro’s and amateur anglers from all over the world every year until politics, attitudes, egos and conservationists brought it down. The problem is mid May to late June hammerhead sharks followed the Tarpon from the gulf into Charlotte Harbor also. If you were lucky and good enough to Navigate in and through the pass to catch Tarpon in the 90 lb to 120 lb range the sharks would come swarming. It was just sad to see a majestic Tarpon jump 20 ft from the boat and land in mouth of a 10 footer. Mike

Original Falcon FC-6-17 “Carolina Lizard Dragger” For a rated 6 power, heavy action rod rated just to 1oz, it’s an outlier of anything else out there. The power of the rod is grossly overrated imo. I have 4&5 power rods by other manufacturers that are comparable to the power what Falcon rates this. Mike

What a Bummer...........Updated !
Believe me I understand. You want to do something to help them but there’s nothing you can do. Just keep them quarantined but still involved in your families life, but more so than before if that’s possible. Heart felt prayers to your family You’re not alone Mike

Possible Fluorocarbon suggestions
I tried InvisX and liked it until I tried Sniper and never went back. It was just a little to stretchy for my tastes. I use either Sniper or Shooter depending on what I’m throwing where on all combos except 3. Tatsu however is the best flouro on the market. Mike

Calling all Florida guys.
We’re here! Mrs Mike has been fighting virus for over a month now. Some days she seems better and others she relapses. It’s really been a fight every day. Needless to say me and my family haven’t thought of nothing else. Our lives are put on permanent hold for now, and God willing not for much longer. She’s tough and won’t quit. If one of you guys want to organize a Meet and Greet please do. I don’t want anyone waiting on me. Mike
