  1. Great Job!! Yep, for me there is nothing better than punching through a foot of hydrilla. Mike
  2. When it’s tough I usually stay with what I know. I’ll change locations of course, and maybe speed up or slow down and change retrieves a little depending on what I’m throwing. I’m not one tp just throw caution to the wind too often. Mike
  3. Congratulations That is one of the most loyal breeds. Mike
  4. Other than Keri, I thought all those guys were better looking! ?? Great Job I didn’t know Tyler was on your staff. We fished the BFL’s down here 10-12 years ago! Excellent fisherman Mike
  5. Mmmm Interesting! Mike
  6. Good Job!! Mike
  7. The best color of them all Mike
  8. Both the Crucial and Cumara are 2 of the most underrated rods ever made by anyone. Mike
  9. Kona Coffee Its hard to get around here, have to buy it on line which I hate to do. But darn, that stuff is smooth!
  10. I use Sniper and Shooter for everything except for 2 techniques and have for years. Tatsu is the best I’ve ever used but not that much better to re spool them all. Mike
  11. I was thinking about getting one of those. I just got a 715 which has a lot faster action than the Siera but dang, that thing balances better than almost anything else I have. Mike
  12. If that’s all you’re ever gonna do with it and nothing else, then no it won’t. It could just be a little easier on you by the end of the day. However, if frogs aren’t the only technique you may ever use it for…say as a back up for bottom contact plastics or a rod for a technique you’ll likely to keep in your hand most of the day, then in my opinion that one time $60 is well worth it. But that’s me Good Luck in your search. Mike
  13. Thanks for the offer. Mike
  14. Sure, everyone gets them from time to time. The trick is to minimize them. But it’s gonna happen. Mike
  15. Never heard of Ward Lake. Do you mean Cecil Webb?! Try Shell Creek. The ramp is in Hathaway Park off Washington Loop Rd off Rt17. Head west from the ramp and it’s 5 miles to the dam. Head east and it’s about 8 miles long. It’s one of the prettiest places in the state. Great fishing all along there with a lot of switch backs. Keep an eye out for the gators!! Good Luck. Mike
  16. The kids do good with a wacky and shaky rig under and around the bridges Try the side canals and the main with a swimming worm, and t rig. The points around the cut off to get to the dam is good late. Last time I was there the smallest was a 3, punching and frogging all the down. There are huge fish in there just not a lot of them compared to years ago. Mike
  17. The darker they are just means they live in shallow heavily weeded water. The lighter colored fish usually live in deep clearer water Mike
  18. There’s just something different about women anglers. Don’t know what it is…. Maybe they have more overall Patience Maybe they have an ability to concentrate just a little more. Maybe they don’t let failure effect them as much May thier decision making ability is more tuned in…. I don’t know what is, but every women I have come across in a tournament setting would give most guys in the field pause. They know if she’s committed enough to compete in a Regional or National trail, she has the skills to compete and they are always respected because they most assuredly earned it. Mike
  19. Never regret Paying it forward. We all still need each other one way or another Mike
