  2. I’m Sorry you did that. Kinda understand it, but sorry nonetheless. Jim: There ARE folks who look forward to your posts whenever you can stop by. Mike
  3. Me Too! Dang it!! Mike
  4. Never had a problem with Strike Kings Mike
  5. 3 + Congratulations on your PB! Mike
  6. If you fish heavily wooded areas, flats of shell bed’s or areas of corse vegetation you may find Sunline’s Shooter a better choice as it’s designed specifically for those. Other than Tatsu In my opinion, when you consider all factors it’s the best line there is regardless of type or manufacturer. Mike
  7. I’ll use either 14# or 16# Sniper for what you describe. I don’t use leaders for anything, even if I lost my mind and did, 50# braid with a 25# leader wouldn’t be my first choice. The guys who use leaders most or all the time should be around momentarily. Mike
  8. Sometimes that little Scum frog will get bit when they won’t touch a bigger one. Love that thing !! Mike
  9. That’s why you’re so good at it! I look at it this way…Time and money are the 2 things we try to save, But both we can never have too much of, so just enjoy what we have for as long as it lasts. Mike
  10. Seems like the older I get the days get shorter and the nights get longer. More and more now it seems I need something to look forward too more often. Fishing seems to be the only thing now. Mike
  11. Best dang rod’s made! Now or then Yep, my E is also a 7 but right handed. If you ever decide to sell your MH/F regardless of condition, name your price. Mike
  12. Weightless rig tail pointed up. When swimming either as a Rage Rig or with a bullet weight, rig with the tail pointed down so the water is picked up on the flange. The pull tab is designed to be removed as it is there to keep the tail straight. However, I’ve had a lot of success leaving it attached. Try both ways, your fish will tell you what they like. This bait is deadly no matter which way you use it. It’s saved a lot of days when they didn’t what anything else. Mike
  13. Don You’re right of course. It’s getting better here in PC My grandson said his street is still flooded but only in a few spots. it’s going down. OP If you decide to go anywhere in Charlotte Co I’d check it out first. Mike
  14. You’re gonna have to drive a bit. As @Don51 said, Webb would be closest. I’ve caught some nice fish from both on shore, the long dock and a boat. If you have time go to North Port and fish the Coco Plum Waterway. The only boat access is off of North Port Blvd. ( Us old guys call it 9 mile canal) If you drive along Hillsboro Ave you can find some openings in the brush. but mostly on the South end. Stop and give the bridges a shot also, just be careful walking down the embankment. Mike
  15. Most of the time I use 3/16 unpegged and swim it all over. It’s also deadly pitching vertically through lay downs and isolated vegetation. If you’re gonna swim it, rig with the flange facing out. Mike
  16. Fenwick Techna AV MH/F Curado 200E Mike
  17. Time to take a nap. Mike
  18. When I got serious about fishing tournaments. From local club charity events to regional and national events and tours. Being forced to read my own water and learning to be the most efficient with limited time and equipment choices, while having little or no input in when and where to fish. Mike
  19. Green Horn huh!…OK There’s 2 reasons to “lower” your rod “tip” 1) If you’re out position to get a strong hook set 2) Take up an unusual amount of slack to get a strong hook set. Mike
  20. Welcome If you launch at Windy Point head 11:00 to Bumble Bee island and start on west side working your way around. Another area to check is in and around the cypress trees on the south end. (Look out for the cattle grazing on pad tops) Josephine Creek can be productive if you hit it right. Mike
  21. I bought a 5 power Dobyns Kaden and really like it. It has a lot faster action than the 735C Siera or Fury. If you want a more versatile rod with good sensitivity but slower the 735C Siera is worth a look Mike
  22. I tried 100% at first years ago but fir some reason got better results mixing it Mike
  23. I’m glad you guys are ok. We didn’t have any down here but they say we got 11 1/2” of rain! Everything is underwater but going down now Mike
  24. Sorry I feel really bad for you. I know the feeling and don’t wish that on anyone. Mike
  25. 1 part anise 2 part baby oil Mike
