  1. I was just gonna post that. Little known tip that most new comers don’t do or realize. Mike
  2. I only use them in a fairly hard bottom where the trailer and skirt can do it’s job. Most times I’ll just add a skirt to a weighted t rig when in a softer decaying bottom. Mike
  3. It’s always been that way. 90% of reel buyers only look at the reels speed ratio while IPT isn’t really given consideration. It’s just easier to compare reel’s based on speed, but As stated IPT is really how they should be compared and should be the only consideration. Mike
  4. Zoom’s have been a tried and true product for years. If there’s no reason to change I tend to stay with what I know. Mike
  5. Grab the line if she’s not thrashing around within about 3 ft of the boat. If she is, and you do, better make sure it has a face full of trebles or you can see the hook through the top of the mouth. Any variation the risk goes up. Mike
  6. Ditto I started using them almost exclusively now as a stand-alone bait. I’ll only use what’s left of the Senko’s as a follow up until they’re gone. Mike
  7. Good video. We had a “lively” discussion about this awhile ago. Mike
  8. Personally, I have never had much success using them from any company. LM down here seem to like a little more action, at least for me anyway. Don’t fish for SM Mike
  9. I use Trokar hooks exclusively with the exception of a few Gammy’s thrown in and Owner for swim baits and have never had a hook rust because of what I had rigged. Mike
  10. Just plain old green Mike
  11. Great Job!! Mike
  12. I can’t think of any bait that I decide not to use if I remember what and where I used it and it produced. Mike
  13. I read somewhere that roughing up any Berkley plastic will release more of the added scent as opposed to other brands. Don’t know if that’s true or not. Mike
  14. Love hydrilla You received all good suggestions and you may catch a fish. Or Just punch right through it, and be done with it. Mike
  15. I skip with a 7’ BC. I don’t fish a lot of water with docks. Almost all of my skipping is either under overhangs, across a flat with non emergent grass bottom or all around isolated clump of reeds, mats and especially lay downs. If it’s mostly flat water I’ll skip where most folks with just use a t rig. I agree it’s much easier with a heavier weight as opposed to say a weightless trick worm which I hardly ever throw anyway. Mike
  16. Yes, and more Mike
  17. Dang It!! Thanks ? Mike
  18. Atta Boy!! Beautiful fish Mike
  19. Beavers with small appendages, Rage Menace, Zoom Speed Craws Stick baits, Trick worm Single or double tail grubs, Lizards Mike
  20. Looks alright. If you want a more compact look then move it up. Either way When the skirt opens the appendages will be exposed from top to bottom anyway Mike

Mrs Mike and I just had our 1st Moderna shot. Mike
  22. Excellent!! Love that place. Mike
  23. Anything that involves using 8# line and wiggling a M/L spinning rod while looking down at a screen all day...... Never Mind ? Mike
