It's one of a dozen other things in fishing that there really isn't a right or wrong way to do it or use it. It's all preference. There is no way I will cast right and reel left useing a casting rod, it just feels too awkward. Just like there was no way I would cast right and reel right a spinning rod. Mike

Understand. My son in law is a salt water guide down here who also belongs to the PVA and of course caters to thier members. I went along on a few charters when some extra help was needed, and I can tell you there is no better feeling in the world. I commend you Sir! Mike

Depends on what I'm rigging.. Swim baits I use Owner's twist lock. Punching and heavy cover gets Trokar's TK130 Thin worm's and stick baits in light cover to open water get Gammy Skip Gap. All other plastic of any size I use Gammy EWG. I rarely use straight shank hooks. Mike
