  5. Yeah well, Since you didn't specify it was a casting reel I assumed it was spinning, which you can move your fingers around on if you needed too. Also, there isn't just one way to hold a casting rod. Good Luck Mike

  15. Or Not! OP, If after seeing a doctor and you still have the problem, try changing your hand position when casting. Not knowing what your hand plasement is now, try putting the reel support between the next 2 fingers and see if that doesn't help..It may be a little awkward at first. Just a suggestion Mike
  16. I also use a Palomar for everything braid. Just make your loop bigger and use the main line to cinch and tag to tighten. Mike

  20. 2 weeks ago I was in a tournament on Big 0 where 32 lbs took first and 29 lbs took 2nd. Point is ranking by an advertised tournament bag weight is not exactly the best way to rank a lake. I understand its not an exact science and they have to use something but to me it doesn't mean very much. IMHO, People who live around and fish a lake consistently will give a better understanding of how a lake fishes. They're there through all the changes a fishery goes through in a year which should be factored in. Mike
  21. The lightest braid I use on a bc is 30# power pro for the same presentations you describe. There are dozens of other brands with different qualities that you may like better. Mike
  22. If you pick up a chart of the harbor at any tackle shop it will be called Mangrove Point. If you launch out of Ponce De Leon Park turn SE and it will be about 500 yds up. Try to time your trip around high tide and just drift up and down turning into all the little cuts as you go. if you're gonna use shrimp or white bait don't use any weight and cast up close to the mangroves, they will immediately head for them, so just let them go.. If you go into the pass be VERY carefull, the current if extremely strong.. Good Luck Mike
  23. I never thought of useing one of these for 10" worms. Mmmm Mike
  24. Never felt the need to use a worm over 10". But for those I start weightless and go from there. Worms over 7" can get pretty heavy and sink really well on thier own especially ones loaded with salt. In the depth you're asking about I'd start with an 1/8 in flat calm conditions and adjust as needed. Mike
