If you're ambitious just make your own. The Internet is loaded with how to videos useing pvc pipes and other materials. A friend of mine used Christmas trees on a private lake and 2 years later it was just a pile of debris. Mike

Excellent , You laid it out perfectly! Proves that by taking our time and doing some research, we can save some serious cash on not only low to mid range products but the top of the line stuff as well. Some guys don't need to do all that and good for them, but for the majority of us who have to save up to own something that seemed out of reach, this is the way to do it. Thanks Mike

It's a very good entry level FC. Diameter is consistent to others with good knot strength and abrasion resistance.. Overall a mid quality line that's better than most. I use Sniper and Shooter depending on application, but wouldn't hesitate to use Super if I had to over almost any other flouro sold. Mike

Any quality braid you use would do. I also frog with 50# and have no reason change. Mike

When it comes to rods and reels I look at what I need first, then sprinkle in some what fits, add a little what I want and then go get it. I only have brand loyalty to hooks and line. Mike

If you find that she is allergic to it, put some aloe on it right after she gets done fishing. But use the aloe straight from the plant itself, not some aloe extract product. Cut the plant open and apply it. It'll clear it up quick with minimal itching. Mike
