  8. Good for you! i wish you Great Success and a quick promotion! ? Mike
  9. Depends Sometimes I'll use what's called a "Carolina Keeper" Its a round plastic disc that attaches to your mainline that you can slide up or down below the weight and beed which allows you to adjust the length of line below it that is considered your leader. Useing that negates the need for the swivel. Mike
  10. I use round lead only. The egg shaped weight's tend to dig in and can get snagged as you drag, while the round one's slide across and through whatever is there. Mike
  11. That's what I did at the first Elite of the year on Okeechobee. I was more interested in how, where and why he was useing what he was useing. The decision making process he used was more important to me than the specific bait or equipment used. Mike
  12. The Capes canal system are fresh water. I used to fish them all the time with a local club but don't anymore. I wouldn't use a b/c reel in salt water unless it's made for it and I had no choice. If you do, a good rinse should be enough. But personally I wouldn't. Mike
  13. I like to use 6 speed reeels for all moving baits except frogs and deep diving cranks (which I don't throw) I don't have to slow down as much if I wanted too compared to using a 7. Usually a nice steady retrieve is enough. Mike
  14. Don't forget on top then. Skim it across a grass line dropping it in every hole. Basically the same places you'd throw a speed worm. Mike
  15. This was my first thought also. I throw Skinny Dipper's or Big EZ's more than any other swim bait and know for a fact that if I mess up and don't rig them perfectly straight, or use a lighter weight (keel) they won't move much. The Swimmers and Keitech are much softer than either of them and should be shaking much more Mike
  16. Try a speed craw. I just started useing these and really like them as a trailer. Mike
  17. The best of luck to you for sure. I'm sure you'll come out of this more satisfied, successful and at peace wherever you end up. This could end up being the best thing that could have happened for your professional life going forward. Let us know when you land somewhere...I'm sure it won't be long Mike

  20. Ditto I use Yo Zuri for all moving baits except frogs. It's cheap and extremely strong throughout thier product line, which allows the user to use a smaller diameter line for a higher overall breaking strength. Mike
  21. Interesting.. Overall, I have more sensitivity with flouro. From when it or any other lure contact's the water and all depths in between, can't say that useing braid. Mike
