  1. In my opinion 1/8 oz is definitely too light for any depth over 5 feet. its ideal for calm water up to maybe 3 ft. I assume youre useing braid or floro. Mike
  2. I like a lot of fellas have fished many brands and we all have our favorites... That being said, IMHO the Phenix M1 line of rods are one of the lightest, strongest and sensitive rods you can buy. But to me the best of them all is the Fenwick Techna AV. If you can find one of those, brother you got something to keep!! Mike
  3. I'm told the one on Kings Hywy had a few last week. Mike
  4. I use 12# Yo Zuri for both crank's and jerk's Mike
  5. Check out the Phenix M1 line... It will push your limit but it will also push your button Mike
  6. You got some great advise here on what, where and how to use it... The only thing I will add is the frog you're useing. You didn't say and that's fine, but the only frog's I use now are a Scum for walking in place and a Koppers for walking or popping back to the boat. The reason is because they are the softest one's I've used. If I ever use another brand I make sure I open the hooks a little, No need on the Scum or Koppers. Mike
  7. It still is... Mike
  8. When I started tourn fishing I used to bring 2 sandwiches, some fruit, a handfull of cookies, small bag of crackers and a small thermos of coffee. Now water in summer, coffee in winter and 2 packages of Lunchables..Those things are great, they have everything! Mike
  9. It's Just Me... Mike
  10. The noise that bothers me the most are the airboats.. they just makes me nuts!! You can here them coming 1/2 mile away. When those guys wind those things up, its like standing on an airport runway. Mike
  11. I use a palomar for braid, SD Jam for eveything else. Mike
  12. You have a bunch of good suggestions...Heres another...Phenix X10 or X11 composite. Mike
  13. For me it's... Any type of stick bait...Senko, Trick worm etc Super Fluke Brush Hog Mike
  14. I had Bass once, and just don't like it. Now put a Walleye in front of me and just leave me alone!! Mike
  15. When you order fish at a restaurant, look down at it in your plate and feel sorry for it. Mike
  16. As soon as they start to allow registrations do it then if you could. The longer you wait to the cutoff the greater the chance of the field filling up. Mike
  17. Fenwick Techna Av w/Curado, 15# Invisex - all bottom contact Allstar ASR w/ BPS Extreme, 20# Invisex - Jigs only Custom on a St.Croix blank w/ 1st. gen Revo S, 50# braid - all punching Mike
  18. Interesting..... Thanks Mike
  19. The only thing I can to what has already been listed is Skip Gap style plastics hooks. Mike
  20. Agree.. Bass may prefer a different bait at times, but I can't think of a time, place or condition when a T rigged plastic just wouldn't be effective. Mike
  21. If I were you Id take Roadwarrior suggestion and try Yo Zuri. Its in you budger and strong as h**l I found its not as sensative as 100% floro for bottom contact baits, but its not bad either. For moving baits it wouldn't matter. Its cheap enough that if you didnt like it for either you wont have much invested. IMHO Mike
  22. RI Sweet Beaver, either black/blue or watermelon depending a clarity. Mike
  23. I suggest once you spot her back off as far as you can cast. Shut off you trolling motor and livewell's and cast right to her a few times useing what the dominate bait is for you lake. Try to position the boat down wind if there is any and let it take you closer. If that don't work blow her a kiss, let her be, and try late in the evening. Mike
