Need An All Around Rod
If you can find a Fenwick Techna AV, open your wallet and give them whatever they want, and walk out the door! There is a discount tackle shop down here that had a few. I bought a 7' mh/f that is now my favorite plastic rod. Mike

C-Rig Rod???
I have the original Falcon "lizard dragger" There are only a very few lakes, which are all in Central Fla, that are over 10 - 15 ft deep that I've used it on. but to me it's the perfect rod. I also use that as my frog rod. Mike

Old Knots
Fellas: Stupid question... My first tourn of the month was cancelled which means my next one won't be untill the end of July, a full month since the last one. When I return from a tourn one of the rituals I have is to re tie everything before I go in the house, which means the knots will have been tyed for a month. Do you think that would be problem? Mike

Rituals
A while back there was a thread about what everyone did to prepare for a trip and what you did when you got back home. I was wondering what everyone did when they get back... Keeping in mind I'm a co angler who fishes 2 tournaments a month and have to carry everything with me. The first thing I do before I walk in the house is.... 1] Rinse off all rod's, handles and life jacket 2] Rince all hard baits used during the day, dry and put back in thier box 3] Wipe down all reels with hot water 4] Check all guides for nick's with a Q tip dipped in line and lure 5] Check 2 rod lengths of line for knick's 6] Spray line and lure on the spooled line 7] Throw out all used plastic's, pieces of cut line etc. 8] Pre rig all rods for what I plan on bringing on my next trip. 9] Yell...Hi honey I'm home!! What do you do? Mike

I Need A New Reel
Of your choices I have a Revo S and a PQ. Don't know if it matters to you but the PQ has both cent and mag brakes whereas the Revo S has just the cent. If it does the PQ is one heck of a reel for the money. The Revo holds more line 145 vs 120 [12lb] and has 24lbs of drag vs 10lbs For overall smoothness and casting distance to me the Revo S wins. I'm gonna buy another reel soon and debating between another S [tried a friends SX and didn't like it] and a Lews. Mike

St. Croix Bargain Room
I've never owned a St. Croix and thought I'd check thier site to check them out a little closer. I saw that bargain room link and went Hmmmm I guess my real question was has anyone bought anything from the bargain room, and I used the crank rod sale as an example of what seems like a good deal. But you guy's are right of course and I knew it when I was typing last night. Thanks for keeping that d@**m monkey off me!! Mike

St. Croix Bargain Room
Has anyone bought a rod from the "bargain room" on St Croix's site? I'm looking to get a crank rod and they have a 6'6" Premier glass rod which list's for 120.00 on sale for 84.00. I'm guessing that the premier is St.Croix's lower end model and I really wanted a 7 ft , but for 84.00 it got me thinking. Mike
