  1. Great Job! Again! Mike
  2. Omnia, FishAngler, Fishbrain There are a few others also Mike
  3. I make certain it is when rigged weightless or unpegged. When pegged I’m not Mike
  4. Ditto However, I don’t care how hard it’s raining if I can see lightning anywhere I’m out! Mike
  5. For me in topped out shallow to mid depth submerged grass, nothing is better than a swim worm or paddle tail swim bait. That condition is made for those. With almost anything else you’re purposefully eliminating a potential sweet spot by just fishing above it. Throw a UV Speed Worm, Skinny Dipper etc all through that stuff. If it’s not too thick dragging on the bottom can also produce. If it is too thick to get in the middle of it, pitch a craw style or stick bait changing angles as you go. Mike
  6. Ditto Best protectant there is. Many owners of Concours level cars use it Works great for tires, vinyl, leather, trim etc. I’ve been using it on my ‘65 for years and the original interior and trunk mat along with plug wires, hoses and tires all look like new. It doesn’t attract dust and leaves a low satin finish. (Be careful when using any so called “protectant” with silicone) The best cleaner I’ve found is LA Awsome that can be found anywhere. It’s cheap and cleans with no residue. Mike
  7. There’s just no way of knowing for sure unless you shock the lake and mark her. You may have a good idea based on history but there’s just no way to confirm it. I’ve caught more than 2 DD bass in 4 different bodies of water in 2 states since 2010 and I have no illusions that I or anyone else pulled her up. Mike
  8. Just being able to give this a “like” just doesn’t seem like it’s enough . Mike
  9. I’m married a long time and take direction very well Mike
  10. I use what my wife tells me to use. I really don’t care Mike
  11. Agree, However, other than on a swim jig (menace) I have much more success using all 3 as a stand alone bait with specific rigging in certain conditions for each Mike
  12. Happy Birthday!!
  13. World record?? Me too, I’d turn it in The vast majority of the lakes I fish are at the very least locally known already, while most are Nationally famous especially my home lake (Okeechobee) where I spend the most time. Wouldn’t really notice an increase Mike
  14. Brian My waters are also. I put more emphasis on the combination of bait type, depth, presentation and then color. Case in point red/shad will outperform watermelon/red almost every time when swimming a worm but not on the bottom regardless of the water color. June bug is my #1 color hands down, but when a running into an area of clearer water I’ll change the color before making another cast but it’s only based on what I’m using at that point I don’t change colors just because I’m not getting hit, what I’m throwing and how I’m throwing it will determine that. Mike
  15. If I had to rank my worm colors it would probably be my 3rd favorite. It’s alright, it’ll catch fish all things being equal but water color is more critical for it. Mike
  16. I think this is one of the most important and critical aspects of doing what we do. In my opinion eliminating water in most cases is key to a successful outing I mention it every once in awhile when a question comes up about needing help in locating the right areas or finding the “spot within the spot” Anyone can junk fish and get lucky blind casting, but if you take the time to develop that sight picture and truly understand what you’re seeing then tailor your bait choice, your presentations angle of entry, using all the clues you see, your efficiency can’t help but to increase. Mike
  17. Best Anything on Bottom….(Flippin, Pitchin, Punching) Worst Everything I rarely do Mike
  18. Hello and Welcome from the SW side Mike
  19. Mike L replied to Glenn's topic in Everything Else
Thank You Again Fellas I really appreciate it Mike
  20. Didn’t know that! It’s been so long since I bought some I’ll be sure to check before I do. Thanks Mike
  21. Personally that why I use the Original Power Pro. It doesn’t have any added coating and with it being a 4 strand nothing cuts through any better. Admittedly an 8 stand is better for distance, nothing beats it for punching and frogging Mike
  22. I’m so sorry this happened. Prayer sent Mike
  23. Looks Great! Congratulations, you’ll christen it soon enough Mike
  24. I use the same as you. Original 50# Power Pro and have for years. I’m sure there are others that are better or just as good, but I really have no reason to change Mike
  25. I don’t drink any liquor at all so can’t help you there but the mildest cigar that goes with everything is a Macanudo I like the Cafe Hampton Court. It’s 5.5 inches long with a 42 ring size and comes sealed in a plastic tube which helps it keep its freshness if you don’t finish it in one sitting. If you want to try others look for one with a light shade wrapper. They are called Connecticut Shade with tobacco from the Dominican Republic. Darker wrapped cigars have tobacco from Cuba and Nicaragua which are much stronger. Mike
