Adding Weight to a Wacky Rig Stick Worm ?
There are definitely cases where a weight would be needed. Others will need to talk more intelligently when it comes to weighting a light line wacky finesse presentation as I rarely if ever have the need too Mike

Adding Weight to a Wacky Rig Stick Worm ?
It’s the specific action of the stick bait that gets ‘em which having a weight close to the hook kills. I rarely use a weight preferring weightless almost every time but not Wackied. However, when the need arises for more depth I just use a light split shot about a foot or so up to not inhibit it’s natural action. Mike

T-Billy's perfect snell knot.
I snell a hook for every bottom contact presentation regardless of what I use or where. There are many ways to tie one. The way you do it is tried and true but I’m old fashioned. I don’t have pictures to share but what I do is thread line through the eye then fold it over the shank just below it. Wrap the tag 4-6 times depending on the line’s diameter, pull the tag through the loop and cinch down. Thats it, been doing it that way for years and never had a problem. Tip to those who are new to snelling… As Tharp mentioned, make sure you put the line through the eye correctly or it will cam the wrong way. Mike

Sure it does That’s the problem I have with people, regardless of the subject, who post videos like that. People who are proficient and successful in any area (like you just did) disprove so much of what is said. The problem is that they can influence the novices or even people who just want to learn more, in such a way that they can hurt their learning curve more than help. Mike

Reel ratio?
Mine range from 6:1 to 8:1 with the majority in the 7 range. 6:1 for on top (except for frogs) and hard baits. 8:1 for all bottom contact. Everything else gets in the 7’s Mike

Decompression of L 3, 4 and 5
I feel for you Brother as I have the same issues in the same places and have since 2012. My first fusion was L3 to L4 then L4 to L5, and 3 laminectomies. I still see a pain management doctor. At that time my surgeon told me I’ll probably need another in 5 yrs, that was 3 yrs ago and I’m starting to feel it now. If you had the shots you know they don’t cure the issue, neither does therapy, but both do help depending on the severity If there is any way to avoid surgery do it! Don’t feel pressured to do something if you have other options. I’m sure you had a 2nd opinion, if you did get a 3rd. I got to the point where the quality of life just deteriorated to the point I had no other option. I wish you the absolute best. If you want any information from first hand experience let me know. Wishing you the best. Mike

6 Reasons Why June Is The Best Month for Bass Fishing
Totally depends on where you live. June down here is the beginning of the summer doldrums if you don’t know your waters. Pick em..Early Dec through late April. Again, depends on where you live. Mike

Red hooks on t-rigs???
I only put them on the nose of certain hard baits. No point on a t rig as all that’s exposed is the part of the shank and part of the bend if the correct size hook is used for the plastic rigged. But that’s me Mike

Not her , but getting closer
Beautiful fish, looks like you must have some thick submerged grass in that pond. She looks all of 6# Mike

Those who throw spook style walking baits on rivers, do you typically find the Jr/Pup size preferable to the original or do you think the original gets bigger bites?
Lakes or rivers, the only surface walking hard bait I use is the Super Spook. I tried the Jr and one other brand but didn’t like them. The thing about the Super is that you can make it glide, walk in place or spin depending on your gear, conditions and how you work it. I also like that the tail hook is designed to rotate which helps to keep her pinned if she only has one hook. As far as if it is the reason it catches bigger fish I can’t answer that as it’s the only top water walking hard bait I use. Mike

Scum Frog Appreciation
I started with the original and it’s still my go to frog of them all. It’s gotten to the point where I can just spin that thing in place and when conditions are right get it to back up a few inches. The design of the one piece, short, flat tail Is unique. I tried the Launch and Trophy series and they are excellent also, but nothing like the original. Without watching it it’s hard to give you a specific reason why you can’t get it to walk. Kinda surprising Mike

And probably most don’t know that the ‘64 GTO (the one that started it all) and the ‘65 was an option package on the Lemans. In ‘64 it was $296.00. It didn’t become its own model till ‘66 Mike

Muscle cars have been my first passion since the mid 60’s. You never forget. Always had to be around them. It got so bad that when I started judging at brand specific shows, eventually I graduated to judge at National Concourse events. At that level you try to learn all that’s learnable Mike

What Did You Get For Father's Day?
White They used my grandmothers recipe. Kinda surprising as her being an immigrant from Sicily you’d think it would be red using a tomato base. But you didn’t question grandma when it came to her cooking! Mike

Lets Talk Cars! (Car guys)
When the ‘05’s came out I thought it would have been cool to have another Goat on the 40th anniversary of my original. When I found out it was a rebadged Holden Monaro with a few performance add on’s from GM’s division in Australia I passed. Just didn’t seem right 😀 Mike
