I don’t mind naming them… The be all, end all for me is Okeechobee, has been and always will be. Other lakes that I’ve done the best are Stick Marsh (PB), Toho, Istopoka and lately Lake Placid. I’ve been fortunate enough to pull 8-10 lb’ers out of each. Many others…St Johns River, Rodman, Kissimmee Lake and River are all world class fisheries but obviously the ones I know the most about (especially Big O) are the ones I’d rather fish. Mike

If you throw a finger tip or even a semi you’ll get more revolutions which will help immensely in being able to cut through carry down. It’ll take some practice but you’ll be much better off and much more consistent in any shot if you bury your thumb. You’re really hurting yourself. Ask your house if you can buy one of thier practice balls and find a good pro shop and have him drill it for you. You may find you can go to a lighter ball which will help also. Have you tried a 5 step? If not practice with it. Most people find that with a 5 your back swing will be a little higher which in turn will help to get the ball turning quicker and it will be easier to control especially trying to hit corner spares because then you can just flatten your wrist on the follow through. Eric, With all due respect, No way! Of all the things we need it isn’t an old, burned out, tired, living in the past coach! We’ve had more than a few of them already. He deserves the right to go out on his terms, just not our way. I agree, to a point… I couldn’t care less if he was involved or not. We drafted him, he needs to come home but I doubt it will happen. Warren and him didn’t get along when he was Big 10 commissioner and Harbaugh will want complete control which Warren won’t give. Poles deserves to finish what he started, if Harbaugh comes, there’s no place for him. I hope I’m wrong Mike

The biggest thing for me is that I’ve learned that it is possible to make friends without actually meeting them and reaffirming that there really are kind people in this world. Other the obvious (at least for me) Learning about different baits that peaked my interest… Validation that I bought quality equipment.. Etc There are many things that I didn’t realize as much before signing on…. *The distaine by so many of fluorocarbon and the misinformation about it… *The misinformation of tournament fishing… *The amount of folks who use leaders… *The amount of folks who use spinning gear… *The pros and cons of Kyack fishing… *The passion that some have of certain brands… There are more but you get the gist. I do, but that was 10yrs ago. I have since changed rods for them but still use the same reel and changed from 12# Yo Zuri to Sunline Sniper for the same setups. I’ve considered changing back because that M1 can do most anything Mike

Down here we mostly use the same things. Some are just tweaked a little in size and presentation. Timing is the biggest consideration Mike

It could just be the angle, but its mouth looks too small to be any bigger than 6-7 but the girth and length makes it look much bigger. Mike

If you’re launching at Windy Point turn right and hit the cypress grove on the south end. Pitch your favorite plastic from the base out to about 5-10 ft concentrating on the knees. Tip…When fishing Cypress knees, be sure to continually change your pitch angle, don’t just cruise on by and blind cast. Also, it’s my experience that if you get a hit don’t be satisfied and leave. Keep at it, if there’s one hanging in the knees there are more. Especially on a few of the more isolated ones. Depending on conditions, I would then head into the lake, and fish the back side of the Big Island and the front side of Bumblebee. If the wind picks up later in the day reverse it. If you’re launching at Hendersons make a quick left turn and concentrate at the mouth of Josephine Creek. Then work your way around the lake to Arbuckle Creek by the park. When you leave Arbuckle I would work my way around and then start in and around Bumblebee Island first. Also, before you leave be sure to hit the mouth of the canal to the Kissimmee River, especially if there’s flow. I hope I helped Good Luck Mike
