Lews Mach Speed Stick
So Far so good. I use the ML Spinning rod every time out. The heavy is great but doesn't get the attention other rods get. They changed the blank used in the rods earlier this year (April or May I believe). The combos come with the new rods but individual rods are still IM6 until they are completely gone then the IM8 will start rolling out. I looked at buying another one a few weeks ago and my local Gander Mountain had individual IM6 and IM8 all mixed in together in their display.

Co-angler
easiest way to drop shot is vertically. Short cast let the line sink until your weight makes bottom contract. Shake the rod softly to only move the bait and not the weight, reel up the slack (this is a tight line presentation). Hope that helps.

Walmart tackle?
This was a topic in my last club meeting. It seemed like when Wal-Mart first became the main sponsor of FLW they overhauled their fishing selction and stocked the stuff anglers wanted. I purchased a few Revo SX reel from there. The Wal-Mart by me would even show FLW events on their display TVs. But as time went on the tackle dwindled and is back to next to nothing unless you wanna drown some worms.

I'll stick with my Noisey Flappers.

OK! Braid!
He was talking about the posts from the numerous people that happened to create an account the same day they replied and their only post was on that thread.

OK! Braid!
Isn't that stuff in the same boat as Gliss? I mean super thin diameter and slippery making it ideal for spinning reels not so much casting reels. I've switched most of my line over to Vicious. I love their No Fade Braid and Elite Pro Fluorocarbon. To me mono is mono no mater what company you go with and I still like Gliss on my spinning combos.

Do it essential series
the Essential Plastisol sucks. It is the most sensitive to heat of all plastisol I've used. The molds aren't too bad I do like the Senko mold. Everyone is correct that your baits will be dull. For plastisol buy Bait Junkys soft Premium Degassed. It is already soft and he adds heat stabilizer.

Wading for big bass
Your not fishing the Maumee right if you aren't getting bigger smallies out of it.

OK! Braid!
My next suggestion is Vicious No Fade Braid. That's the braid I use on my casting reels. I find it is very manageable and soft.

Noticed on fishing shows.....
I'm pretty good at deciphering but I cannot tell ya the difference between a Walleye and Smallmouth.

OK! Braid!
almost all those reviews are positive, *** also gives it a positive review as well as European writers. The only negative I know of is knot strength because of how slippery it is but a double uni knot fixes that.

OK! Braid!
x2 on Gliss but I would only use it on spinning gear personally.

My woes continue. Anyone else have this happen?
I just put 24# Gliss on my spinning reels I am hoping this helps. I was using the same MH/F rod with 30# braid on my C-rig. I'm hoping I can get whatever is going on straightened out this weekend to help feel more confident going into a tournament.

New To Bait Making
Tackleunderground.com for questions and information Del-Mart.com or BTSmolds.com for mold Lurecraft.com Silicone hand pour molds Ispikeit.com (lureworks) for glitter, color, oil, scent Shopbaitjunkys.com for plastisol Those site will help you start up and continue the hobby for less. Especially Bait Junkys Plastisol. It come with heat stabilizer in it and has removed all the air which will benefit you when learning. Plastics don't have to be expensive of you are ok with hand pouring once you get into injecting that when the money comes into play.

Rod guide
it will be able to get fixed as for price it all depends on the going rate in your area. I would suggest looking for a rod repair shop or a rod builder in your area that can fix it for ya.

Reel Colors
I use colors to make a lot of decisions. If I want a new reel and I have it narrowed down to a couple I purchase the best looking ones. I prefer bright colors to dark but I do like dark colors if they are bright accents. For some reason a lot of my setups are blue and orange (Go Gators). I bought a *** and Lews Mach Crush because of the color. However, my workhorse reels are Black and Accent colors from Ardent. I use the accent colors to determine gear ratio like some said previous, saves time looking for a specific combo. plus the blue on the Apex Elite goes pretty good with my orange Carrot Stix.

My woes continue. Anyone else have this happen?
I did switch a lot of gear at the beginning of the season without issue until now. I switched my hooks from Mustad to VMC, I started using lighter line and for my drop shot and weightless rigs I picked up a ML rod to replace a broken M rod I had.

They were lost on three different rods by three different manufactures. No after the event I had I wanted to go to a lake I am most confident in catching bass and she just tagged along. But she will tell you that the week before and week after an event I carry a lot of stress between pre fishing, online research and going over fish logs of what I did right and wrong.

Yum Dingers or Strike King Shim-E-Sticks?
I have one issue with Senkos and that's price. When I first started using them they were $5.99 then they went up to $6.49 now for a 5" Senko they are $7.49. To me that is too steep for the lack of durability.

Yum Dingers or Strike King Shim-E-Sticks?
I actually use Vicious Limit-A-Tor. They come in the popular colors but I find they sell out very quickly from Vicious' website. I do also use Snack Daddy Snack Stick and occasionally Dingers.

Anyone still pitch tubes for largemouth?
make that 3 I love Snack Daddy. The Elite tube is my go to smallmouth bait and I replaced all my senkos with Snack Sticks.

I hope so I have my next tournament September 10. I sure hope to get out of this slump before the event and not during.
