New Marketing Good Idea or Fail?
Our email had an attached spreadsheet that we are to give to the dealer. once the dealer is ready to place the order we pick it up and scan and email to the sales dept. The sales will collect money and send the order to staffer to deliver to vendor unless the order is too large. I'm sure the Elite guys will be more marketing and promotion and the staffers would be the "sales" people but after reading their email, it makes it sound that we, as staffers, will be worked as employees without employee benefits. This is an across seas company so maybe they are looking to leave the USDM or something. I love the company and products and have been on staff for years just seems like a strange approach to me.

New Marketing Good Idea or Fail?
I am on a Prostaff with a company not to be named. I received an email from them and confirmed with other team mates they received it as well. Basically the email read this company is cutting 65% of their free (social media marketing) and 75% of their Advertising marketing in the United States. They deleted all their Social Media accounts except Facebook and told the pro staffers and elite pros it is 100% our responsibility to market, promote, and sell (dealers place orders through us) the product for this company. The company is moving all marketing and sales efforts to Europe and Japan. Is this a step into the future? I personally see this tactic failing them with two Elite anglers parting ways in the last month (I do not know if it coincides with one another.) I feel staffers are brought in to drive sales and help get companies into markets they normally couldn't get in not necessarily do all the marketing and sales work.
- Any other riders out there?

Boxing is dead, or dying ?
I put promoters as the number one reason for sure. If it isn't Triple G, Canelo, or Maywhether than you don't here about it. The Broner/Alverez fight this weekend should of had more promotion. Boxing was dead in my town but living in Toledo, OH Robert Easter has brought the sport back. I think MMA is still more popular but they are willing to put the dollars in to market each and every fight and majority of their fighters.

Backup Reel
I'm fishing an event as a CoAngler. I have all my combos set to go and want to throw a casting reel in my duffle bag in case one of mine goes down and I need a backup. What kind of line should I put on my backup reel so that it would be ready to go in any situation?

YouTube Demonetization
YouTube and Google AdSense change their payment algorithm. Back in the day you got paid from adding ads and a ratio of views to subscribers. There has been such an influx of people wanting to be YouTube "Stars" YT changed how they pay their uploaders. Now if an ad can be skipped in 10 seconds and the viewer watches past the "Skip" the uploader gets paid around $.03 is the viewer watches that ad in its entirety then the uploader gets $.05. If the ad is one that cannot be skipped than the viewer must click on the ad and get redirected to the advertisers webpage for it to count towards the uploader. I used to make roughly $2.5k a year on YT now I barely make $500.

Daiwa Soft Plastics
I'm intrigued as to how well the duckfin and mermaid tail would do as a trailer. That is what the people on my Instagram seem to be using them predominantly for.

What is the best and most value priced Hollow Body Frog that you do not have to squeeze the water out of?
The only frogs I use are the River2Sea Bully Wa and Spittin Wa. The occasionally fill with water but not as frequent as every 8 casts, however they are more expensive.

Daiwa Soft Plastics
http://www.fishing-mart.eu/sklep/en/soft-baits-daiwa-g5-a21-p1960.html They still seem to be selling over in Europe but I was just curious because that's all my instagram feed as been over the last week is Daiwa plastics coming to Amercia.

Daiwa Soft Plastics
Looked back at some posts on my IG they are using the Yamamoto Neko Worm, Duckfin Shad, Duckfin Bug, Prorex Classic Shad DF, and Skinny Kick. They are all available in Japan with a caption that says available in the US soon. Besides the Yamamoto worms, when I look the rest up on the bay they range from $10-$20 a pack and all say shipped from either Europe or Japan

G Mans Soft plastic trailer from St Lawrence Tourney
(This is not to be derogatory by any means) I have been to fishing seminars with Skeet Reese demonstrating crankbaits using Strike King baits but pushing Lucky Craft. I've been to an FLW Weigh-In and seen anglers decks loaded with one brand of roads that is not their sponsor and they throw them in their locker and pull out their sponsors rods before getting in front of the crowd. I can't say for certain but I am sure majority of professional anglers use other gear than what they tell us and try to pull the wool over our eyes for a payday. But its a business and I wouldn't have it any other way. When Ike left Daiwa for Abu he was already using Abu while under Daiwa contract, Aaron Martens was developing Engima Rods while promoting Megabass. That is why I take professional promotion with a grain of salt.

ICAST 17 Counterfeits Caught !
I pour my own worms and when I was looking for a senko mold the companies I contacted explained it to me like this. Senkos themselves are not patented. The amount of "rings" around the worm, the size of the smooth area in the middle of the bait, the name senko, and the recipe have patent protections. Everything else is free to duplicate.

Daiwa Soft Plastics
Anyone use them? A few people I follow on Instagram got some of the packs that will be coming to the states from ICast and they are raving about them but I don't know how much is sponsorship influenced. I knew they were in Japan for awhile but I don't want to pay $10-$14 a pack to try them out yet.

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
As I have admitted and pointed out I have was tuning the reel incorrectly when I first had them. There was not the abundance of information out when I had then since they were pre-orders and I sold then off within a month. The T-wing never caused back lashes but when on the water cutting back lashes out and retreading through the t-wing it takes me more time to thread though it than a traditional guide that's my dislike. I haven't purchased a new Tatula as of this moment as I'm still debating as to what model I what. I need a couple new reel but having already pre-order the new Revos I'm not sure what Tat I need I'm thinking a 7:1 or 8:1 for flipping is what I'll buy Friday once I get paid. I now know what I was doing wrong and will tune it the correct way and see if my opinion has changed.

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
This is precisely why I am giving Tats another try, when I had them and got rid of them they were brand new on the market and nobody had info let alone positive reviews for them. The more I hear about them the more I now think that Daiwa reels must tune a little different that Ardent and Abu reels in which I use 97% of the time and would like to give them another shot. The Issues I were dealing with were user errors. Yes if you read or watch videos on how to adjust a baitcaster, the proper way is to turn all magnetic brakes off adjust tension knob until lure lands on floor with no over run then apply mag brakes as needed. That is how I adjust all my reels.

What's the cheapest reel that's better than a Curado 70?
My vote would be for the Abu Garcia Revo SX Gen 4. Just announced at ICast but if you want information on it, it is extremely similar to the Gen 3 Revo STX

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
I use the KVD Line Conditioner and at the time I used the Tats I was using 10# Mono backing and 12-15# Seagaur Red Label now it would be 8# mono backing with 10-12# Vicious Elite Pro Fluorocarbon.

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
I appreciate this very much. I set the reels as I do with all my reel turn all the brakes off. Set the spool tension then fine tune the reel with small brake adjustments but I could never get the Daiwas to tune this way. I am going to look up the videos and figure what I did wrong before pulling the trigger on another one. I want to like them so bad. I like their rods and want to know be in the masses with their reels.

Looking at a new swimbait rod
And that's why I need to leave Ohio. 5lber is normally my event winner here but we fish lakes that are loaded with smallmouth more so than largemouth. Unfortunately when the ODNR stocks rainbow trout and yellow perch in the lakes and reservoirs here they do it right after the spawn and make it public knowledge. About three weeks after the stock they have all been fished out and there's nothing left for the bass to eat. Here in NW Ohio that care more about the Walleye and Catfish populations than Bass. But we make do with our 1/2-1oz swimbaits. As for your OP I have used the TCS like stated above and it is a great rod but can't say anything about a rod for 10oz baits.

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
I wish I could love this post instead of like. I had a T3 Ballistic that I loved. I also used the previously stated Tatula and an exceller but I could not cast any of the Excellers or Tatulas more than 20-25 yards without a backlash. I want to love Tatulas because they feel the best in my hand next to Ardent Apex reels. I learned on a Abu Garcia and grew up on Abu and Quantum. As for casting distance. All the reels I own and use range between 38-42 yards. My longest reel and surprisingly my most smoothest is my Ardent Apex Elite. I can launch that thing 40-44 yards easily but that thing needs baby more than any reel I have ever owned (in the maintenance department). If I could get the Tatula/Fuego to cast 30 yards with backlashing consistently I would be perfectly ok with that.

My first name and I love by the motto "To be Old and Wise you must be Young and Dumb" and 4 is my hockey and motocross number.

You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
I love Abu I have Gen 2 and Gen 3 Revos Sx and STX but with all the rave reviews on the Tatulas I assumed that maybe I should give them another shot since I can get them so cheap on the bay.
