You guys have done it to me I'm trying again
The majority of my arsenal is Abu, Ardent and Lews. My thought was that the Tatula/Fuego line (With most new products had some bugs at initial release that have been worked out now). The Gen 3 Revos sucked the first year they were released but over the last two years they were great reels. All products not just in the fishing industry has stuff that comes up at initial release and the three I owned were first batch shipments.

I loved how it felt in my hand and how smooth it was. I absolutely hated the T-Wing and I could not keep the dang thing from backlashing and Daiwa is the only company I have had that problem with.

Site Issues - slow reloads, failed refreshes
I have the problem at work while using Internet Explorer but it is almost non existent. However when I get home and get on my MacBook and use Safari I can barley access the page at all and majority of the time have to use my phone only.

Thanks for the recommendation but I don't see there ever being a feature or benefit in a reel that causes me to pay more than $250. I think majority of reel manufactures overprice their reels.

High End Glasses
I have 7 pairs of Oakley (I had an addiction) and they are great glasses but I use them more for golfing, being outside or on the motorcycle. When in fishing I use the Strike King S11 and Love them.

Rapala Shadow Raps...
This is why I don't have any 110s $25 for a jerkbait is absurd just like $15-$25 for a 1.5 crankbait

I have so excited when Diawa announced the Tatula originally that I preordered three. But I was never more disappointed more in my life. They were my least farthest casting reel, I couldn't get them dialed in and the T-Wing Design was atrocious in my book. Needless to say they found a new home quick. HOWEVER, the more I keep reading on here about how much everyone loves the new Tatulas (more Diawa love than Shimano love and it shocks me lol). I may need to try them again. If I do which version should I look into picking up? Im also Contemplating the Fuego so I don't have to deal with the T-wing

New Veritas Rods ?
Looks like an Australia exclusive. At least for the time being

Need help on which reel to get
If you are buying now my vote would be the Tatula CT but if you can wait my vote would be the Gen 4 Revo SX. you will get the features you see in a Revo STX now in the SX price point once the Gen 4s come to market in the next couple months. Biggest upside to that is dual brakes.

New Veritas Rods ?
I knew the Toro (Swimbait) rod was releasing and it still says 2.0 on it. I didn't hear anything at Cast about an entire new Veritas line coming out. http://tacklejunkie.fish/veritas-3-0-abu-garcia/ Only information I can find is from Australia so I doubt with Cast just wrapping up they will be making a 2017 debut in the states. I would guess they will make a Bassmaster Classic Appearance.

Chatterbait, Spinnerbait, etc. Rod and Reel?
Great choice on the setup. Denali Jadewood series rods used to be one of the most suggested rod on this forum next to the Veritas but more and more it faded away into the abyss. I like to go against the grain and use products that don't get the attention (Denali, Carrot Stix, Ardent to name a few) and the J2 is the rod I use for one of my spinnerbait/chatterbait setup at the present time I have mine paired with an Ardent Apex Pro which is I believe the same price as the Casitas but (my opinion) better features i.e aluminum frame vs the Casitas graphite frame. I am not knocking the Casitas though it is a great reel but I think the J2 with an 7:1 Apex Pro is a better setup in my opinion.

Suspended Bass in Open Water
Growing up a rule of thumb I was taught was in the dog days of summer leave the suspended open water ones alone. They are the hardest to catch especially the ones you can physically see. With that being said I would suggest jerkbait, soft swim bait or chatterbait.

Rapala Shadow Raps...
I used to only throw the xcalibur eeratic but when they were discontinued I when searching for a new jerkbait now the only one in my box is xraps and shadow raps. Shadow raps tend to work better on pressured water and spring fall but I'm not afraid to throw it anytime. My go to colors are ghost and carbon. The only 110 I can compare to is the eeratic and they are leaps and bounds better.

Rapala Ripstop Jerkbaits
The only jerkbaits in my box are shadow raps and xraps. Some of the waters I fish are heavily pressured by jerkbaits and the shadow gives a slightly different action and triggers more bites. I love them. I have a few ripstops pre-ordered.

Shallow Tackle Boxes
Yes that is exactly what I need. The sticker on my box says 3700-s apparently they changed the item number. thank you

Shallow Tackle Boxes
Does any of the Manufactures still make the shallow 3700 boxes? I cracked mine that i store my terminal tackle in over the weekend and need to replace but everywhere I look I can't seem to find one from either Bass Mafia or Plano. Answered Thank You!!!!!!!

How would you fish this small pond
Shakey head, wackey rig, kvd 1.5, small jerbaits are all I have been able catch them on my kids lobe catching the 8" dinks so I don't have a problem catching those all day with them but when I'm out alone I'm targeting the big girls and can't get them to bite or can locate them.

Abu Garcia Revo Gen 4 (ICast2017)
Yes I believe so. The Gen 4s are all designed of the MGX and Beast platform and they have smaller gear box and larger handles. Yes all Manufactures do it. Abu decide to keep the Revo name that everyone knows and love and change the "generation" to differentiate between technology. Shimano does this with letter i.e. I, E, G after their reels. Ardent (Edge to Apex) and Daiwa (Exceler, Tatula, Fuego) change the name of their lines all together when release new technology.

Detroit River Help
Fishing an event as a Co in two weeks on Detroit. I drew my boater and he told me straight forward we would not be doing any running to St. Clair or Erie but staying on the river. He told me that he is doing some prefishing in the next week and let me know what his plan was. I talked to other club members and they told me that last season my boater won the event fishing Gibraltor so I'm assuming that is the plan this year. If that is the plan I am assuming we are spending the day flipping docks in the marina. What else should I plan on for fishing the river?

Abu Garcia Revo Gen 4 (ICast2017)
Here I thought I was the only one using Ardent. It seems like if its not Shimano, Lews or Daiwa on this site its junk. But I for one strictly use Ardent and Abu and never had a problem.

How would you fish this small pond
I have parked a camper at a seasonal camper ground where I grew so my kids can experience the fun I had. There is a pond there that is in the shape of a horseshoe with the arms roughly 25' wide. the water makes a "v" shape that graduates from 6" to the deepest 7'. It is a full clay bottom with limited weeds deep but the grounds crew dumps chemicals to kill algae. During the prespawn and spawn we can catch 3 lbers no problem but as soon as the spawn is over 7-9" bass is all that bites. Where should I start looking for the bigger ones that bite early? I try flipping the secluded docks, dragging a jig, cranks, spinnerbait nothing. There seems to not be the cover that I am used to seeing on normal water that holds the big girls. I don't know if it helps but the Campground owner is obsessed with catfish and you can see big 36" channel cats being caught daily out of this pond and the owner is always doing things to grow the catfish size and population.

Abu Garcia Revo Gen 4 (ICast2017)
I preordered the X and SX. I think there is more than just a rebadge to the X, S and SX. They are stressing that these are built like the Gen 2s with Gen 4 technology. The fact Abu admits they missed with the Gen 3 is something I admire. The Gen 2 Revos were the best reels in the market and I am super happy they finally released Gen 4. From what I read all the frames are built to feel like the MGX in your hand, Improved braking and better drag. I use, dare I say, Arden Apex Pro and Elite reels mostly now but will try the new Revos and pray these are as amazing as the Gen 2s were to make me switch back the Abu.
