  1. I use Right hand I wasnt aware of the limited Left hand options.
  2. I'm going to suggest a couple reels most if not everyone dismiss but I find myself using more and more all the time. Ardent Apex Tournament ($99) and Apex Ranger ($80) both weigh in at 6.3oz I have switched all my main reels to the Apex series for the 2017 season. I think the fly under the radar and very underrated.
  3. I throw the Keitech Easy Shaker 90% of the time. But I also like the Havoc Bottom Hopper and Zoom Mag Shakey Worm
  4. Check out the Facebook group Bass Anglers of Ohio we are getting heavy on non boaters but always looking for more anglers.
  5. Bananas lots of bananas. ?
  6. Yes the first gen was the seat I was looking for. I assumed hat the minima was the closest but i figured it was worth asking
  7. Thanks guys my other question is, is it possible to purchase the reel seat Abu uses on their Villain Rod? That's my all time favorite seat but can't find a close match.
  8. I am building a 6'6" casting rod. I want to put the new Minima two piece reel seat on it. I see their sizes range from 9mm to to 15.5mm. Which size is the popular for these type reel seats?
  9. I still have the MH Rod that I used to use my chatterbait on. So what would be a good strictly Jerkbait rod? As for size of fish the water my club fishes 12#s wins events. So we aren't looking at catching trophy fish.
  10. Thank you for this I was leaning towards a Ike series rod but couldn't find any reviews. Is the jerkbait Rod one of his delay series Rods?
  11. Thanks I used a mh most of the year last year for chatterbaits then I was suggested using a squarebill setup to get the most out of the chattetbait. I switched and got higher hookups. I use both square, jerk and chatter on Med fast with 12# flouro
  12. I have it narrowed down to Med fast: Abu Veritas Enigma Phenom BPS Carbonlite Carrot Stix Wild Wild Orange Denali Attax Which one is better for reaction baits. Also customer service, durability
  13. I use Ardent Reel Kleen kit on all my reels. Abu, Ardent, Quantum, Okuma
  14. double uniknot for tiring to a leader but I'll tie an improved clinch knot if tying straight to bait. I never had a problem tying direct
  15. Pink Gliss but make sure your not is tight every cast. Best know is a double into knot for Gliss. I say pink because it is the most invisible line in the water. You get the strength and characteristics of braid in a sma diameter and invisible under water.
  16. Ardent Finesse Series in a 2000. Normally $80 can be had tonight (sale ends) for $24.99 on ardentoutdoors.com
  17. I am looking at getting a new flipping and pitching rod. I am looking at the Lews Mach 2 Speed Stick or the Halo Rave. I am leaning towards the Lews since it has the Microwave guides and Winn Grips (I like both of these features in other rods I own). I just am not sure if those features are worth the extra $10. This is not a rod I will use a lot there for I want a sub $100 rod that is sensitive enough to be a Med to light cover rod since the waters I fish are normally rip rap reservoirs. I was using a No * Black out but it broke in less than 3 months setting the hook on a fish. I am also open to suggestions for under $100.
  18. Everything about this reel screams Ardent
  19. I would say performance wise and smoothness it is on par with reels in the same price category. Positives: Light, Smooth, Easy cast ability, can balance on pretty much any Rod, decent drag system. Negatives: High Maintaince, quite a bit of plastic parts for a higher end reel. With the Ardent Apex reels I found that I have to relube and clean them more often than other reels to keep performance up. Also using other line besides the Ardent Reel Butter can have a negative effect on performance. All in All if you don't mind more maintaince more often these reels are on par but I think exceed in rod balancing which is a main factor for me when buying reels.
  20. Lews Speed Spool LFS, 13 ***, Bass Pro Pro Qualifier, Bass Pro Carbonlite and my personal favorite Ardent Apex Pro
  21. Does this mean I'll be able to buy a Ranger at my local BPS store soon?
  22. Is it your line breaking or your not breaking? Also are you checking your line consistently for any type of damage? With mono you have to cut and retie a lot due to its lack of abrasion resistance. I use Triline Big Game which is another cheap mono with no problems.
  23. Zoom Mag Shakey Head Roboworm BioSpawn Plasma Tail Havoc Bottom Hopper Zoom Trick Worm *If you like the Havoc Bottom Hopper and Zoom Trick Worm type worms go onto Facebook look up a small company Gator Baits, They sell a worm that is identical to both and is a little cheaper. The last time I bought from him they were $3 a dozen. I always try to buy local or from small companies. https://www.facebook.com/gatorbaits/ I'll remove the link if I need to.
  24. Do you sell the molds you make? I have been looking for more custom molds to pour.
  25. I would recommend Gliss on Spinning reels but NOT casting reels
