Does GYB make a Green pumpkin Chart tail senko?
Oh yes, I have a ton of them from past Dick's Senko sales. They are hard to find though and have never seen them in our Walmart Senko display. Order on their site.

Spare prop
I agree on the prop shop look. I bought my yammie used stainlesss from a prop shop and he cupped it for free.

Net storage while fishing?
I carted a net out on the Potomac for 12 years and never used it, so now it hangs on the wall. I dealt with bass, cats perch and snake heads, but never needed the net.

Soft plastic storage
They dehydrate and don't smell too bad LOL They also die pretty fast after eating the stuff.

Froggin Rod
I have an 11 year old 7' MH KVD worm rod rated 1/4-1 1/2 oz, 10-25lbs I tried for frogs with 50lb Sufix 832 and it worked, so that is what I use. It weighs 4.9oz.

Soft plastic storage
For mice use TomCat food blocks around on the deck, Then all you have to is ick up the dead bodies periodically.

Reel oil and grease and where to use
I use Shimano ACT2 and Cal's drag grease on my gears. It keeps them quiet and smooth. I do not grease my pinion and drive shaft bearings any more and just dip them in TSI.

Keeping reels clean/dust
If mine are not being used they are never without a cover until they are on the boat deck for fishing. Even the unused rods in the rod box have covers on the reels.

Drag settings
I am in this boat. Been doing it for so many years I just know the right feel.

When do you tie on your lures/hooks for a day out on the water?
I retie everything the day after fishing, change some baits, clean the Potomac gunk out of the line guides, hose down the spools with KVD and everything sits until I get back out, be it a week, or a month, then it is pack up and go.

Braid for older bass pro rods
I have Carbonlites mostly now, but I had two 7'MH Extremes 15 years old until last year and braid was no problem. One was a frog rod. I traded them in at the 2020 Spring Classic for two Carbonlite 2.0 rods.

Ashland VA BPS
I really like the BPS restaurant at Ashland. Good seafood.

Which bait cast reel would you want in distance cast contest?
Interesting question because I have three Curado 200E 7's and all three are nine years old and stock out of the box, yet one of the three will easily spool itself with a plain Senko and it has always mystified me. All three are spooled with 15lb Invizx. The doggone thing just goes forever. Only that one reel. Go figure.

Is there an easy way to take this side plate off?
And you are correct and it is a tiny one.
-
Southern bro’s, do you use fluro leader when wormin?
All of my plastics are fished on 15lb Seaguar Invizx.

Having some problems with 50lb braid
Braid and I have never had a loving relationship and I only use 50lb Sufix 832 on the frog set up, but just to be sure it behaves I throw the frogs out with more of an underhand lob than a wing ding let er rip cast and it works well.

Why buy a high end reel (metanium dc, steez...)? Are they worth it?
Like anything you buy it because you have the money and want it.

Does KVD line conditioner do anything for mono?
The information I provided came from the company's web site four years ago

Does KVD line conditioner do anything for mono?
Line & Lure is a special polymer blend that becomes part of the fishing line it is applied to. Other line treatments you find on the market are primarily silicone oil and solvents. Silicone oil only temporarily coats the line and solvents can damage line. Silicone oil rapidly comes off the line (on your hands and in the water), requiring re-treatment of the line after just a few casts. The special polymers in Line & Lure are hydrophobic (water repelling) and very slippery. It doesn't allow water to draw back on to the reel spool, which eliminates the line drag that a "wet" spool has. It also protects the line from wearing out as quickly as un-treated line because it resists the abrasion that wears line out. It contains no oils or solvents as in Reel Magic that can build up and collect dirt like silicone/oil treatments will.

Berkley line counter opinions?
Inside the line slot is a little black plastic wheel with a concave surface. The darn thing gets loose and moves in and out on its little spindle to the gears. Look at it each time you use it and make sure it is out so the line will lay in the concave surface. I think I am on my third one over the last several years, but i like them for spooling new line on and they are reasonably close. Don't use it if you have reel magic on the line, or it will slip. The line wheel has to be real dry.

1.5 on a medium heavy?
I rarely venture away from a medium rod for any cranking. I only throw crank baits on 10 or 12 lb Invizx.

Gut hooked bass on Texas Rig
No pulling on the hook. Lock on to it, twist it in the right direction to back it out of the tissue and just lift it out. Very easy with no barb hanging on.

Gut hooked bass on Texas Rig
Some times getting the plastic out of the way is more work than getting the hook out I keep long scissors to cut it away so I can see what I am doing and if I am fishing with my adult daughter it happens a lot LOL.
