  1. hmmmmm....maybe we can get Glenn or Long Mike to check in on them for us! Jeff
  2. I called to make reservations some time earlier this month. I reached a person on the first call, whom took all of my info, including the bass rescource code for locked in rates, and took my cc for a hold. She said they would not charge anything to my card until the week before and would call to tell me how much the hold would be then. Does seem like something could be going on, but the lady was very nice and very helpful. She was the one who told me they are completely remodeling the place and assured me it would be up and ready by our trip! Jeff
  3. I have made reservations. They are remodeling the place now! Jeff
  4. I take one jig box with me to the lake and the rest stay home. I organize my jig box(plano) in 3/4, 1/2, 3/8 sizes and also by colors. Then I also have 2 slots for swim jigs and arky jigs. Trailers are all in original packages in a side bag I carry. Everywhere I fish is either shallow or dark stained or both, so no finess jigs needed...LOL Jeff
  5. I have done a couple boats myself. What size is your boat? That will help determine the height of the seats as far as stability. Also second the recommendation to tinboats.net Jeff
  6. Wider is better for stability. The 12 foot would probably fit better into the back of your truck because I believer the extended cab trucks have a 6.5 foot bed. The 14 footer would hang more than half off the back.( not including tailgate) 12' boat weights 87lbs and the 1436(wider) only weights 117 lbs. I personally would never buy another boat that is less than 48'' on the bottom, which neither tracker topper is. JMO Jeff PS> check out tinboats.net LOTS of great ideas and knowledgeable people!
  7. According to the report RW posted, if we all fish 10 hours a day for 7 days. Every other person should catch a 5+ lber!!!!! Jeff
  8. Oh yea...good point. But If I had cash then an extra 3 grand isnt a worry! Just keep the bank roll flowing! Jeff
  9. Nice fat fish! Congrats! Jeff
  10. $50 grand is a lot to take on as a 20 yr old! It is fun to have nice things, but know that you can do the same things out of a smaller less expensive boat, and not be in so much debt! Jeff
  11. Good luck and report back! If the wind is that bad, the drop sht idea might still work vertical! Jeff
  12. Good catching! Did you catch the LM on the sauger jigs? Jeff
  13. Dang and I thought starting the year with 2 over 5 was good....id trade both for one 9! Jeff
  14. Wow! Just wow! Would love to catch a bag like that! Jeff
  15. I sure hope so! Jeff
  16. I would assume the 87 would be ok, but check Yamaha website or dealer first! I would always use the motor company oil. Not much more expensive and they cant ever blame problems on other products. ALWAYS use stabil ethanol treatment(some use seafoam). You must use judgment on the transom saver length. Hard to tell with no pictures. you will need to run the boat, but I doubt you will need a jack plate. Does it have tilt/trim? Jeff
  17. Never seen or heard of one, but cool and ugly! jeff
  18. It is not as quick but once you are used to it no problem. My boat is a 1648 aluminum mod v. The only down side I know of is when you are in shallow water and the tolling motor head is hitting bottom there is no cord to pull up on and even if there were, the trolling motor will not run unless completely deployed. The solution is that the motor deploys completely verticle and can be raised up to run it very skinny. Jeff
  19. Ok well maybe not a spider jig, but this is what I have been thinking about ever since I started tying jigs a couple months ago. This thread put the thoughts into motion and this is what I came up with! Jeff Rage Tail Craw on 1/4 oz Shake e2 with round rubber Rage Tail Baby Craw on 1/4oz Shake e2 with living image rubber
  20. Wooohoo! Should be heading down tommorrow! Jeff
  21. Another thing is on the pedal on the very bottom side there are 3 buttons that are VERY useful! Thye are a left, right, and "on" button! They are very helpful when using the ipilot mode for making small adjustments or not having to use the actual pedal part at all. These would be lost if put into a recessed tray! Jeff
  22. I think I have one of what you are talking about in the works......stay tuned! Jeff
  23. I have a terrova 80lb ipilot with all the bells and whistles on my boat. The foot controller is not recessed though! I absolutely love it and do not see why everyone doesn't have one. One trip with the ipilot, and especially the anchor lock, and you will be sold as well! Ask away with any questions and I will answer what I can! Jeff
  24. Check all grounds...there also might be a ground wire that runs off each of your lights! If in doubt, drill a hole through trailer at each spot, then use wire brush to remove all paint/rust(both sides), and then run a nut/bolt through the hole attaching new ground and there should be no ground problems and that is taken out of the equation! Jeff
