  1. I really like the third fish's color. Edit: Didn't know you already said that
  2. It kind of speaks for itself. Just fish how you normally would, just slower
  3. My goal is to get a marketing position for a company. Starting out low and eventually working my way up in the company. At UC, they have co-ops where you will gain experience in your field of study while you are still in college, so I feel it will be pretty easy to get a job after college if I already have two years of experience. Thanks for all the input guys.
  4. I would bring them to the water if possible. No point in fishing in the grass if you can be on the water. Also, grass isn't hard or rough enough to cause the line to get beat up at all
  5. Ok, I got accepted into the business program at the University of Cincinnati and I am lucky enough to have parents that are willing to pay for college (no matter where I go). I know I want a business degree, but to be honest, I don't think you need to go to a four year college to get a good job. I also know that I want to get a job in the fishing industry, specifically for a company that produces fishing equipment. I have been looking at some two year colleges to transfer to after the first quarter, but I am not sure if an associates degree will be sufficient enough for obtaining a decent job. Basically, what I am asking is what would you do in a situation like mine? I am asking this to the older guys on the forum mainly, but anyone can chime in if they want.
  6. It is legal to bring your gun to that state, but it may not be legal to shoot within the area you will be in. If it's within city limits it will most likely be illegal to discharge the firearm
  7. I think mono backlashes more, but braid is easier to pick the birdnests out of
  8. This kid lives real close to me. He goes to the local rice killer meets where I live
  9. I'm gonna head over to mine and see if I can score some deals. Thanks for the heads up

Not all of the worms have it though
  11. When are these videos coming. I can't wait
  12. That is one cool picture
  13. You should get a MH action rod with a fast tip and you should use a fairly stong mono, such as 17lb.
  14. Like WRB suggested, use weedless lures such as frogs, some spoons, or just skin hook your worms.
  15. There are a number of these videos on youtube
  16. Great fish. It's always fun goin fishing with your dad
  17. Did they kill it?
  18. I use the palomar to tie directly on lures and I usually leave about 1/4-1/2 inch tag line
  19. If you try using braid, you will love it. I would recommend Power Pro over any other brand because it doesn't break the bank, it's durable, and it has a great feel to it. I use braid without a leader on all of my reels because I honestly don't think that fish care about seeing your line. I used to use a leader, but stopped a couple of months ago and have still been catching fish at the rate I was when I had a leader. The only downfall braid has is its abrasion resistance. This is why many people use a fluoro leader. It has a greater resistance to being cut up by rocks, timber, etc. Also, if you fish cranks a lot, braid is not the type of line you want; use mono instead. Overall, braid increases the sensitivity (you can feel every little thing that knocks your lure), your hook-up ratio due to the no-stretch factor, and your abitlity to muscle the fish out from any cover.
