  1. It's that time of year for me to get rid of all the baits I've found this year that I'm not going to keep for myself. If any of you guys are looking for some hardbaits, I have a whole Plano 3700 box I'll be selling for cheap and I'll sell it for even cheaper if I don't have to ship!
  2. I left the battery at home once when I had my 2 man. Now that sucks! I always kept my spare boat key in my truck for just such an emergency.
  3. As soon as I feel them, I'm swinging. A bass can engulf a large bait in an instant. The longer you wait, the more chance they have to blow out the bait.
  4. Owners and Gamakatsu.
  5. Try cranking a bladed jig as slow as you can while keeping the blade going. That's been by far my best night bait all year.
  6. No problem. I use fingerless gloves so it's even easier.
  7. I use a 7' MH/XF LTB for finesse jigs and love it.
  8. you can catch fish on a stick and string too.I have nothing against ugly sticks, I use them for catfish and wipers, but I much prefer my nice bass rods when I'm that's what I'm chasing. I enjoy it more when I'm using them and that's what I'm out there to do.
  9. The outboard locks are a must have for small outboards.

  11. It's still there and still off limits to my knowledge, there's no trespassing signs up anyways.
  12. I buy lures knowing there will probably be a day I lose them, comes witht he territory.
  13. Low 50 degree temps and it sounds like the water is clear if you can see them, I'd be fishing a suspending jerkbait.
  14. I'd want a heavier, longer rod for my jigs and plastics in areas with heavier cover. Something like a 7' 3" to 7' 6" MH/F and a high speed reel with 17 to 20 pound fluoro or 50lb braid. Use that spinning rod for jerkbaits when you decide to give them a try. I fish mine on jerkbaits occasionally and it feels more natural to me to fish them on one.
  15. Jerkbait-RC Stix in French Pearl or Lucky Craft Slender Pointer 97MR in Gun Metal Shad spook-Super Spook Jr in bone When I said grub I meant a Ned rig-3/32oz 1/2 a PB&J Zinker
  16. 200 largemouth over 3 pounds sounds like a heck of a good year to me!
  17. X2. I bought my wife an Avid Pearl with a Quantum PT Energy spinning reel, partly because it was "pretty" and the combo she wanted, partly because all the other pink rods she liked were junk and I figured it was better to spend the money on a nice setup that was easier to fish with (way fewer tangles) and help keep her interest when she does go fishing with me. They're super nice rods with thinner handles to fit in smaller hands better.
  18. Seems like he should be holding a trident with bolts of lightning coming out of his beard in that picture
  19. I talk to myself so I can be right at least once about something.
  20. Roadrunner or rigged Creme Lil' Scoundrel with the prop spinner in front. Those two baits caught everything.
  21. I use 130lb original Power Pro on my heaviest flathead rod and never had and issue with it unless I get snagged.
