Teckel vs toadrunner
The Toadrunner has a more rounded and upturned nose that doesn't want to dig into grass like the Teckel does and also has a tail that is adjustable so you can get different sounds. There're good around scattered grass, kind of similar to where you'd fish a toad, too open for a regular frog but too thick for a treble hooked topwater. I just use my regular frog rod for them.

Post a photo a day!
It's my wife's car, hence why the pink sunglasses were there to be worn. She's a couple years older than I am and still has a huge collection of CD's. Most of mine are so scratched they won't play anymore. My car has a cassette player in it ? East side of the house @ 2pm West side of the house @ 2 PM

Table Rock help
I've caught a lot of trout from the bank right there under the bridge by BPS in Branson, no waders required. Catching bass from shore at Table Rock in the summer is a daunting task.

Teckel Sprinker Hookups?
- Jig weedguard question
I pour my own so they're built with the weedguard like I want it by the time it goes in my box, no trimming required.- Tackle Box Tray Census : ) What do you use ?
I've used several kinds, trying to find one that will prevent/stop the constant rust and corrosion I seem to deal with. So far the Plano's with the Inhibitor chips are the only ones that have managed to do it for more than a year.- Deps Buzzjet Jr. Retrieves
Don't change the hooks, it's hard enough to keep the Jr on the surface as is. Keep the rod tip up and reel slow.- UPDATED!!! Ned vs the Drop Shot
Just have to be patient with the Ned. We were dropping them on a sheer drop at Beaver a few years ago that went from 10-40 straight down. Fish were mostly coming up to meet it but we were getting some near the bottom with it too. Takes over a minute for that 1/16oz head to get down that far but it didn't take long when it got there. It's really a trick when the wind is blowing, almost like flyfishing the way you have to watch the bow in your line.- Rigging Ultra Small Swim Baits ?
I fish the 2.8s on a head from the Midwest Finesse mold with a larger hook, usually an 1/8-1/4oz with a 1/0 hook. Really good head for a grub too.- What is the ultimate 1/2oz Jig combo?
I'm really happy with the combo I'm using now for pitching and casting 1/2oz jigs to cover. 7' 3" MH/F Okuma TCS 7:3.1 Okuma Helios TCS 20lb Seaguar Flipping Fluoro- Who washes and waxes their fiberglass boats on a consistent basis?
- Learn From My Mistake!
I bought a phone lifejacket case because I've lost so many phones to the lakes, last one was from my kayak too. Measuring a lively fish in your lap is a serious challenge. I'm still upset about the 20+ inches I could have added to my multispecies challenge and additional species if it hadn't been for an amped up wiper going straight from the board to the water in one quick flip. There isn't a good spot in my kayak to lay them down in the bottom to take a picture either. I might try the cord to lip grips and just beach it for pictures from now on.- The Pressure Bite
I "weigh" my bait constantly. I'll also watch my rod tip for any sign of movement, this has tipped me off to tons of fish that I could feel nothing but saw the tip move very slightly. Usually by weighing the bait, I can tell if there's a fish or not. No way to explain how to tell the difference between a bass, stick, rock, or grass, but it feels different when a bass is just sitting there holding it than it does when it's stuck on something.- New Member

Welcome! I fished Lake Shawnee Monday actually.- Hello
- Catching Catfish on Bass Lures
Some of the lakes I fish have really high catfish populations, not uncommon to catch 5-10 a trip on a lures. I had one night fishing trip several years ago I caught over 3 dozen channel cats, mostly on bladed jigs with a few on spinnerbaits and jigs. Caught fewer than 10 bass that night but the catfish were fun. My PB flathead was on a finesse jig and is still the lake record for the lake I caught it from. The best frog explosion I've ever had was a 10lb channel cat destroying a Scum Frog through a mat in a pond.- New Florida member

Already missing fish with it too ?- War Eagle Spinnerbaits?
Best night fishing spinnerbait out there imo and it's not close.- Teckel Sprinker Hookups?
I've missed 1 bite so far with a Sprinker and it came back the next cast and got it. Just a matter of how determined the fish are I think. I've missed a few on the toadrunner, but then the ones I've caught had it almost swallowed.- Shaky Head vs Wobble Head
I drag a swing head kind of like a C-rig. They're one of my favorite ways to fish a plastic and since I make my own I pour them from little 2/0 hooks for small craws and beavers, to 7/0 monster worm hooks to cover almost any plastics out there. About the only plastic I don't put on one is a tube. The only time I fish a shakyhead is if I'm fishing very slowly and wanting to hold the bait in place for long periods of time.- Weight?
Reaction strikes, better feel in wind or deep water.- A more durable critter?
If it was by YUM then it wasn't a brush hog, Zoom makes them. Sounds like you were using a Christie Critter in black blue shadow color. - Jig weedguard question
