  1. I know it can cast a 90 Whopper Plopper out of sight but I haven't used anything super light. I have no doubt that it will handle light baits without issues. It's nice and compact, very easy to palm.
  2. Yes, I have a Supreme and Supreme XT. I like the President better than the Supreme but not ready to say it's as good as the XT yet.
  3. Beautiful place, congrats!
  4. It has a very lively swim, it nearly suspends and continues to move slowly on the pause that looks like a quivering bait fish dying. It cast well and fishes very easily.
  5. I copied this as well with a Berkley digital. It's so much easier weighing the fish and is much less risky compared to trying to hook the fish under the gill plate or jam a big hole in their jaw just to weigh them.
  6. I wouldn't get your hopes up on it, they don't use a ball bearing swivel. The ones I've had the blades did not spin nearly as freely as I'd like.
  7. You could get by almost any situation that calls for a jig if you have green pumpkin and black and blue, but where's the fun in that?
  8. I like nasty weather. Sooo many of my big fish come on days when I'm one of the only ones dumb/crazy enough to be out there.
  9. MS Slammer Deps Slide Swimmer 175 Bull Shad Savage Gear Shine Glide 180 Optimum Line Thru The Jackall Gantia is quickly climbing the list after the last couple trips.
  10. C-rig, rigging my droppers for catfish setlines
  11. Find myself using tungsten more and more often, especially when flipping with braid into heavy cover. With it being so compact it just seems to get through everything better and I don't lose them often fishing with braid.
  12. I posted my review on the stutter step on another thread. The President has really wowed me so far. It's been a lot like the spinning version so far, feels like a solid workhorse that is probably worth more than they're charging. Obviously only time will tell if it has the durability of the spinning version, but I'm pretty confident it will prove itself worthy there too in time. Have you heard or seen anything more about this? I'm anxiously awaiting the release of this mold but I-Cast is the last I've heard about it. Makes me wonder if Z-Man is fighting them on producing it.
  13. The Lucky Craft Spazz is one I use for trout in small rivers because it runs shallow. Not sure exactly how shallow, but it's shallower than a pointer or slender pointer.
  14. My boat doesn't idle slow enough to troll and I get bored to tears if I troll for more than about 10 minutes without a bite.
  15. I have caught lots of largemouth and bluegill on the fly, and actually caught my first ever fly rod smallies a couple weeks ago. while I was chasing bluegills.
  16. It's a very unique bait. It nearly walks in place and makes a heck of a lot of commotion while it's doing it. That said, I've probably had 12-15 strikes and have yet to hook a single fish with it. It's a very portly bait. First thing I thought when I opened it was it looks like a tiny manatee. I'm not sure why the fish miss it so much, but they sure have for me.
  17. Hard to tell with the picture that small.
  18. They're good baits. I think the main appeal to them is they're easy to fish, and they seem to attract larger than average fish.
  19. I have a 200B Calcutta I use for deep cranks. The power and line capacity work well for them.
  20. I throw mine on my frog rod, a 7' 3" H/F Ethos Micro with 50lb braid.
  21. Welcome!
