Using a live minnow as a jig trailer.
I use to fish a minnow on a jig spinner early in the year and caught a ton of bass doing it. It catches about everything that swims and fishing it on a light spinning rod allowed for a soft lob cast to avoid casting off the bait.

Jig fishing in wind or rain
got quite what? Wind is a way of life in the Midwest. I'll still catch my line jumping even in a stiff crosswind sometimes, but like Catt said, there's a fine balance where a good jig fisherman keeps his line where it's tight enough, but not too tight. I try to watch my line, but that's just a bonus if one hits it hard enough for the line to jump or grabs it and runs. A vast majority of my jig fish are caught because something just felt a little different.
- kayakers, how do you transport your boat?

Mono vs. Flouro?
I fell into the "I need fluoro because the pros use it", trap for a few years. I'm tired of the memory and the mysterious breakoffs. I've gone back to almost all copolymer, braid, or mono. I think if you can afford to buy the higher end stuff it's worth it, or if you fish really clear water all the time, but I don't. The good thing about switching back is it's allowed me to be able to afford those high end lines for the couple of rods that I keep fluoro on for when I do fish clear water (Tatsu and Flippin fluoro). Much happier now and so is my wallet since I'm mainly fishing Big Game or Pline C21.

Ned Rig=fantastic
Say it with me now; "The Ned Rig only catches little fish". Congrats on the new PB.

Best burger sauce 1 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup ketchup 1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard 2 teaspoons dried minced onion 1/4 teaspoon dried minced garlic 1/8 teaspoon white vinegar hot sauce to taste seasoned pepper to taste Red Robin has a fry dip they call "Campfire Sauce", that is just mayo and ketchup mixed together but it taste awesome on their steak fries.

whopper plopper?
I don't think it really matters but FWIW I use the Shad 130 for smallies in water with consistent 5+ feet of visibility.

Mr Twister Sassy Shads
I fish them on a 1/8oz jighead for hybrids in the river. Used to fish them on the same size head with a small jig spinner arm to catch most everything.

What's the craziest thing you've found in a bass?
I had a fat spotted bass throw up a live salamander into the bottom of the boat on Table Rock once. Only time I've ever seen a salamander outside of a pet store, they've got nasty tempers, even towards someone who just saved their life. When I was growing up fishing was for food first. I caught a 2-3 pound bass that my grandma cleaned and found a mouse inside (she's scared to death of mice). My wife caught 2 on the same day that each threw up 12-15 inch long eels while she was fighting them.

whopper plopper?
I like them, but do yourself a favor and get the 130. It's a much better bait than the 90 IMO.

Yum warning shot vs SK Dream shot
I caught more fish on a Warning Shot yesterday than I normally catch on a drop shot in an entire season, and the 1 bait I used is still going strong. Oxblood red was wearing them out.

Soft Swimbaits

Lizard Questions
I don't fish lizards often anymore, opting for small creature baits instead since they look so similar. When I did, the Zoom and Berkley lizards were my baits of choice. Watermelon seed, pumpkin chartreuse, black and blue, and black where the colors I liked. I usually went with the 6" versions, but the 4" and 8" baits both had their places. Usually fished them with a 1/8-1/4 ounce bullet weight and 3/0 EWG hook.

Swimbaits a good search bait?
The big swimbaits will show you fish that won't touch anything else, and fish that you never knew lived in your lake. It really just seems like some fish are programmed to eat big meals. Then I've seen the opposite where lakes that consistently produce larger than average bass, but they will not even follow a big swimbait.

Crankbaits
They're both very good baits. I carry both and would suggest anyone to do the same. The RES is better for stop and go retrieves because they shimmy on the fall. The Warpig shines when you're grinding a bait through rocks because of the design of the nose.

Pfluger Supreme problem
You're going to fish with a reel that isn't functioning correctly? You're asking for heartbreak. BPS will take it back and exchange it for you with the receipt and box for sure.

Live bait
Depends on the size of the shiner and how I'm presenting it to me.

Rainbow trout lures and rigs
Shhhh... I fish the same community lake that Ned himself does his "bass fishing for trout", on. That's where those videos are from. Ned rig trout will give your reflexes a serious test too because they hit it and spit it so fast that if you're not on your toes, you'll miss them. It's also nice because you get lots of incidental fish in the process. I've caught smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, crappie, bluegill, green sunfish, yellow perch, drum, and white bass just from that lake fishing for trout with a Ned. One guy even caught a carp on one while we were out there last fall.

Good couple of hours
I have a selfie stick (although I've never used it because I never fish alone), as well as being able to take a picture on my Virb. I'm admittedly not a big fan of the ground pictures, but like jignfule said, better than pictures from the driveway or kitchen. Some great looking fish for sure!

Thoughts on Hi Vis braided line
I like the hi vis braids because it's easier for me to line watch.

Any use for parts of a broken rod?
Save the guides for sure if nothing else. I had a day of fishing saved when I knocked the insert out of the tip of my rod but had a salvaged tip top in my bag that happened to fit perfectly.

the official lost tackle of 2016 thread v1
I found that exact crank last Friday hanging in a tree. What an odd coincidence.
